Sam Thompson has landed a new role with ITV following his I’m A Celeb triumph - and will see him rubbing shoulders with Love Island stars.

The 31-year-old former Made In Chelsea star was crowned king of the jungle on ITV’s long-running reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last month - and huge new roles were promised following his win. And it would seem he is already landing new work following his camp success - and will now be co-hosting a podcast all about Love Island: All Stars.

ITV’s much loved dating show is launching a spin-off this month where former contestants return to the villa to try and secure love a second time. Sam will join former Islanders Indiyah Polack, 25, and Amy Hart, 31, who appeared on Love Island in season eight in 2022 and season five in 2019 respectively.

The trio will be hosting the official companion podcast where they will dish on all the insider gossip from the new show - which will be hitting screens from Monday 15 January. ITV made the announcement on Friday, sharing a snap of Sam, Indiyah and Amy posing together.

An accompanying statement declared: “Who’s ready for some star-studded gossip? The official #LoveIsland podcast is back for our very first All Stars series! And what’s better than one All-Star Islander on the podcast? Two! @indiyahhp and @samthompsonuk will be joined by the icon herself, @amyhartxo.”

Reacting to the news, Indiyah re-posted the announcement on her Instagram Stories and added the message: “Y’all know what time it is! Are we ready to tune into the Pod?” Amy also re-shared the announcement on her Instagram Stories too.

While Sam has never featured on Love Island himself, he has been dating former Islander Zara McDermott since 2019. Zara, 27, appeared on season four of the ITV show back in 2018 - and recently featured in the 2023 season of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Sam has appeared on Love Island’s companion show, Aftersun, in the past - where he gave his personal insights and opinions about all the action and drama taking place in the villa.

Love Island: All Stars will feature a string of contestants that have been on the show in the past. And while the cast list has been kept secret, some big names have been linked to the upcoming show.

The Sun has claimed that Liberty Poole will be returning to the show, with a source claiming: “Liberty became the poster girl for self love when she ditched Jake [Cornish] and chose her dignity instead - it was a huge TV moment back then and fans will be thrilled to see her thriving and back in the villa.”

And The Sun on Sunday previously claimed Georgia Harrison will also be taking part - with a source suggesting: “Georgia has become a role model to young people and showed immense courage during her ordeal with her heroic political campaigning. She is an amazing signing for the new show and producers are really pleased and excited she has decided to do it.”

But an ITV source has downplayed the reports - telling the Mirror on Friday: "The lineup will be announced on Monday so any names rumoured ahead of time are speculative."
