The best eight darts players in the world will begin their attempt to become Premier League Darts Champion later this year.

Teenage sensation Luke Littler has been included in the tournament, which sees the top players in the world compete in a tour event. The tour will start on February 1 in Cardiff and go around the UK, as well as Berlin in Germany (February 8) and Rotterdam in the Netherlands (April 18).

The tour will comprise 16 nights before the final on May 23 in London, with the winner receiving a £275,000 share of the overall £1 million prize fund. Michael van Gerwen is the defending champion, having won in 2023 and will look to defend his title against three of the other current top four players in the world and four other wildcard picks, including Littler.

Having won in the World Championship final against littler, Luke Humphries is on a roll and will seek to consolidate his world number one status with his first Premier League win. Last year’s World Champion, Michael Smith, will take part despite a difficult run at Alexandra Palace this year, with fellow former world champions Peter Wright, Rob Cross and Gerwyn Price joining him.

Tickets for the event have already sold out across a number of venues, with dates in Cardiff, Newcastle, Exeter, Brighton, Dublin and Belfast all having hit maximum capacity. However, you can still buy tickets for many of the events, including Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow, .
