Wrexham star duo's declarations speak volumes after contract commitments
Wrexham star Paul Mullin has declared he never wants to play for another club in a declaration that will be music to the ears of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Mullin, 29, and fellow Red Dragons star Elliot Lee have signed new contracts until 2027, and their verdicts have summed up the good vibes at the thriving North Wales club under the ownership of Hollywood stars Reynolds and McElhenney.
Both free-scoring striker Mullin and playmaker Lee were pivotal players in the club's promotion to League Two last season, which was captured in the second installment of the Welcome To Wrexham documentary series. And they have continued their fine form, lifting Wrexham to third place in the fourth tier, two points off league leaders Stockport County with a game in hand.
Although both players have garnered interest from higher up the pyramid and dropped down to non-league level to join Wrexham, their decisions have been vindicated and they don't want to play anywhere else.

"I love the place and love everything about it," Mullin – who has nine goals in 17 appearances this season – told the Wrexham Leader. "I never want to play football anywhere else, I absolutely love playing here. When the club came to me with the offer, I jumped at the chance and I am buzzing going forward.
"I am going to stay here a lot longer than I initially first signed for, it is going to be a long time, but hopefully it can be a successful one. Up to now we have been a success but we want to keep going and keep pushing. It has been a phenomenal journey but it's one that isn't stopping here."
Wrexham have become a global attraction since the investment from Reynolds and McElhenney in 2020 thanks to the pair's immense social media footprint and marketing power, and the documentary has given manager Phil Parkinson's team an international legion of new fans.

He told the Leader: "We [Mullin and Lee] both took a bit of criticism dropping out of the league from an outside point of view. But if you actually speak to the manager and speak to the owners, you could see there's a pathway for a lot of success here.
"Maybe taking one step back was the best option for us in our careers at that point and it has proved to be that way. If you ask a lot of players now, they will want to come to Wrexham, and even managers and coaches.
"It is a great place to be and a great place to play. It was probably one of our better decisions. When you find a home like me and Mulls have here, you shouldn't take it for granted because it doesn't always happen in football.
"You get to some clubs and you don't get the same feeling. Here, I have just fallen in love with the club and the people. I am over the moon and just want to make more memories."
Wrexham travel to Shrewsbury Town in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday before continuing their league campaign against AFC Wimbledon at The Racecourse Ground on January 13.
