The Traitors fans work out where they have seen contestant Kyra Johnson before
The Traitors viewers have been left scratching their heads over the appearance of one of the contestants - as many viewers are convinced they have seen her on TV before.
The hit BBC reality show returned to screens on Wednesday night to commence a second season of betrayal, deceit and devilish tasks as 22 contestants battle to win a £120,000 prize. Show host Claudia Winkelman, 51, has returned to oversee all the backstabbing and alliance-forming action - as 18 of the contestants are Faithful, but four are Traitors and are working to steal the prize fund for themselves.
Among those taking part in the second season is 21-year-old apprentice economist Kyra Johnson, from Kent, who hoped to win the prize money as a Faithful contestant. As the first three episodes of the new season have already aired, fans will already know that Kyra was savagely removed from the show - and lost her chance to win any of the cash prizes.
But TV fans were less concerned about Kyra being ‘murdered’ off the show and were instead distracted by her. Many fans took to social media to figure out exactly where they had seen her before - realising she recently appeared on Deal Or No Deal on ITV just two months ago.

This caused another viewer to comment: “Cheers cause I’ve been searching for hours cause I knew I’d seen her."

Sadly, Kyra didn’t have the best luck on the ITV show eighteen as she eliminated two of the ‘Big Five’ boxes in the first ten minutes of her time on the show. By the end of her round, she was left with two boxes - with one containing £4,000 and the other containing just £1.
The banker offered her £1,800 to walk away from the contest - and rather than take the 50/50 chance to win more than double that amount, she agreed to the low prize fund and left the show. She did draw attention from viewers, however, when show host Stephen Mulhern grilled her about her romantic life.
And indeed she was on ITV's Deal Or No Deal in Novemeber 2023 (ITV)Explaining that she’d been with her boyfriend for five years, 46-year-old Stephen asked her why her boyfriend had not yet proposed - leaving Kyra to quip: “Ask him!” Her boyfriend, who was in the audience, then nervously told viewers: “It’s coming soon.”
Speaking about the second season of The Traitors last month, Claudia teased fans that the drama on the show will be more explosive as fans - and contestants - know how the format works following the success of season one last year. She told the Huffington Post: “[The contestants] are all excellent. They come having seen the first series so are more quick to suspect but they all play a brilliant game. I wish I could say more but I’ll be fired…
“[Season one] definitely gave [the new cast] some tips and you can see some arrive and play the game immediately. But the game itself is so strong that however prepared you think you are, you’re not.”
