Mum of darts star Luke Littler's girlfriend hits out to defend age gap romance
The mum of darts sensation Luke Littler's girlfriend has defended their age gap romance after her daughter received "vile" abuse from online trolls.
Teenager Luke, who recently became a household name after wowing darts fans with his skills, is only 16 years old but went public with new girlfriend Eloise Milburn, 21, after it was revealed the pair have been dating for six weeks.
The pair reportedly met playing FIFA on Xbox and Eloise has since been spotted supporting her new beau, who is the youngest ever darts player to reach the World Darts Championship finals, which will take place at London’s Alexandra Palace tonight - and could see Luke pocket £500,000 as well as the coveted trophy.
But Eloise’s mum Amanda Milburn has hit back at claims her daughter is a “money grabber” and cruel jibes about the five-year age gap between Eloise and Luke, who will turn 17 on January 21.
Claiming “Eloise has been accused of all sorts”, mum Amanda denied her daughter was only with Luke for his money and fame and branded the comments a “total pack of disgusting lies”.

Eloise's parents say she has since faced abuse from online trolls (PA)Amanda told the Daily Mail : “There’s been a lot of horrible stuff being posted online about my daughter and my husband Phil and I are very angry about it. She’s not with him for any of these reasons. She doesn’t care about his money or his fame, she’s with him because she likes him. It’s as simple as that.
"It’s really hurtful when we read these comments, many of them from so-called darts fans. My daughter is none of these things that these vile people are making out. She’s a lovely young girl who is in a new relationship and people should allow them to get on with things.”
Though Amanda and Phil are yet to meet Eloise’s new boyfriend Luke – but have spoken on the phone - she suggested things are going so well between the pair that marriage could even be on the cards in the future.
She said: “We are a darts family, we love playing this sport and are all very dedicated to it. It’s quite ironic that I met my husband through darts and Eloise might have met hers in the same way. It’s still early days for them and she’ll kill me if I bring up talk of marriage.”
Like the rest of her family, Eloise is darts mad and an amateur player for the Walton Working Men's Club, while also representing the Surrey Women's darts side. Her and Luke have been able to spend some time together at the World Darts Championships, but in real life there is quite a distance between them as Luke lives in Warrington, Cheshire, while Eloise lives with her parents in Hersham, Surrey over 200 miles away.
After starting at a 66/1 outsider just a few weeks ago, Luke is now favourite to go all the way at the World Darts Championship final tonight – and no doubt girlfriend Eloise will be there cheering him on.
