Lizzo shows off 'New year, new me' figure as singer shares 2024 message to fans

Musician Lizzo has shared a New Year message to fans on Instagram as she told them "New year, new me" and showed off a slimmer physique.

The singer showed off her curves as she modelled a leggings and crop top outfit from her own clothing line Yitty, as she delivered an inspirational message to her fans. Speaking in a video on her Instagram account to her 12.5 million followers, Lizzo said: "New year, new me. You know how they say run don’t walk? Teleport b***h."

She then showed off her outfit as she continued: "You have no idea how hard it was to get into this. This technology snatches and lifts. The booty is lifted — booty to the sky. You don’t have to wait to feel like the best version of yourself. Baby boo, it looks like we went to the gym, but we didn’t go to the gym. Yes, we’re putting ourselves first, you guys."

Whilst some fans commented on the singer's slimmer figure, others weren't sold on the gymwear from her own brand Yitty (lizzobeeating/Instagram)

Fans of the star were quick to notice the singer had "slimmed down" as they jumped into the comments. One fan posted: "Baby girl you've lost weight -- I hope you're doing ok & taking care of yourself." Another shared: "Lizzo you are slimming down queen!!!! aight let me get into the gym." A third added: "I knew you were losing weight yessss you look great!!" Another wrote: "We see u shedding pounds love. Even tho u were beautiful before."

However some fans were more distracted by the clothing, as one questioned why they'd want to buy gym wear that's 'hard to get into'. One fan asked: "Super Cute!! But aghhhh I do want a bra that's that hard to get into! Zipper front bra???" Another echoed their thoughts as they wrote: "I can't put on anything I gotta wrestle to get into and then I'm out of breath. It's cute tho". Another shared: "That’s not good advertising if you say it’s difficult to put on". A fourth posted: "I don’t want nothing this hard to get into".

The post comes as the Grammy winning singer spent the festive break mourning her dog Pooka, who passed away on Christmas Eve. Lizzo announced the sad news on Christmas Day as she posted a picture of herself with her pet as she wrote: "Pooka Diamanté Jefferson, we will forever hold you in our hearts." In another post she shared a series of pictures herself and Pooka over the years, as she wrote: "I’m not okay. I’m so heartbroken. RIP Pooka."
