The ex-partner of EuroMillions winner Jane Park can be seen seemingly taunting his gangland rivals in a video taken before he was killed in a brutal New Year's Eve attack.

Marc Webley was out celebrating with his friends when he was killed outside The Anchor Inn in Granton, Edinburgh on Sunday night.

The 36-year-old - who split from lottery winner and adult model Jane in October - had reportedly told friends he was expecting an attack. He had previously been jailed for 11 years for shooting a drugs gang rival. In one of the newly surfaced videos, Marc is seen apparently encouraging his rivals to engage in an altercation with him.

The footage was reportedly filmed and shared on his social media after an earlier attempt on his life when a car mounted a pavement and tried to mow him down. Webley is understood to have directed the message at a gangland family and other well-known local people, including one man who had a long-running feud with the Richardson family. He also targets Trainspotting T2 star Bradley Welsh, who was shot dead outside his home in 2019.

Gesturing to a bag worn on his body off camera, he is seen saying: "What's in the manbag? Come and find out - f***ing wrong'uns. Come and get it." Another clip shows him singing along to music playing in the background, before addressing his rivals by saying: "Do I look scared? Never. You all looked to me - your boss looked up to me". He then goes on to call them "chickens".

Jane, who became the youngest ever EuroMillions winner when she scooped her £1 million prize in 2013, posted her own tribute to her ‘handsome’ former partner on Instagram, claiming she spoke to Webley hours before he died.

She wrote: "I can’t believe I’m writing this, we spoke yesterday. If I could cuddle you again and tell you everything is going to be okay, I would give anything to do it Marc. The months we spent together, you taught me some valuable things in life and I will never forget you. I am absolutely devastated."

Commenting on the killing, Police Scotland Detective Superintendent Graham Grant said in a statement: “This is believed to have been a targeted incident and our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of both men involved.

“Inquiries are at a very early stage to establish the full circumstances surrounding what happened, and while officers have already gathered CCTV and spoken to various people who were in the area at the time, I’d urge anyone with information who hasn’t yet spoken to us to come forward. In particular if anyone has private CCTV, doorbell footage or dashcam of the Granton Crescent/Road area around the time of the incident, please bring it to our attention.

“This incident will undoubtedly have caused concern in the local community and officers will be carrying out extra patrols of the area and I’d like to reassure the public that everything possible is being done to trace whoever is responsible.”
