Mariah Carey indulged in a touch of retail therapy in the wake of her split from Bryan Tanaka by shutting down Gucci in Aspen.

The Queen of the Christmas season entered the swanky designer shop flanked by her entourage and was given the VIP treatment so she could shop in peace with staff locking down the outlet to all other customers. As passers by peered through the windows trying to catch a glimpse of her Mariah browsed the goods on sale hassle free with her bodyguard and team around her.

Dressed in a beige knitted dress Mariah wore chunky knee high boots and her hair in tousled curls in a half up half down style as she looked at potential purchases. She also donned sunglasses and some snug looking earmuffs for the trip, where it remains unclear if she made any purchases.

Meanwhile, Mariah's ex-boyfriend Bryan Tanaka has spoken out about their split after seven years together. In a heartfelt Instagram post, he confirmed the break up was a "mutual" decision.

Bryan shared: "Our decision to embark on different paths is mutual, and as we navigate these separate journeys, we do so with profound respect and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the invaluable time we've shared." He added that their memories and artistic collaborations will be "etched" in his heart forever.

He also praised Mariah's dedication to her family and craft, expressing his love for her and her children. He said: "Mariah and her incredible children, whose warmth and kindness have enriched my life in ways words cannot capture."

He concluded his post by asking for privacy and respect, thanking fans for their support. He wrote: "The outpouring of love and support from fans has been a beacon of strength, and I am extremely grateful for the encouragement that continues to uplift me. I eagerly anticipate continuing my journey, knowing my passion for inspiration, dance, and the creative arts will resonate in the unfolding chapters."

Fans started to suspect something was up when Bryan, 40, wasn't seen with Mariah, 54, during her festive tour, Merry Christmas One and All!, which kicked off in November. A source confirmed the breakup in December. A pal told Page Six: "He wants to have a family. That's not where she is at."

Bryan's desire for kids isn't surprising given he's younger than Mariah, who already has twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with her ex-hubby, Nick Cannon. The pair first met in 2006 when Bryan joined Mariah's Adventures of Mimi tour as a backup dancer. Their romance didn't start until 2016, after a decade of working together. They briefly split in 2017 but later rekindled their relationship.
