A man has been left outraged after identifying the world's "longest" Hula Hoop which measures a whopping 4.72 inches. 28-year-old Adam Potter was shocked to find the huge salt and vinegar savoury snack as he was taking a break from home working.

The lover of crisps even emailed KP Snacks to suggest they start selling 'Hoola Tubes' as they would be "perfect for dipping". Adam intends to preserve the crisp in an air-tight container until he wants to eat it, and is open to selling off the mega crisp.

Adam's discovery trumps the previous world record - a 4-inch hoop found in August 2021. As an old school desserts business owner, he said: "I was having a break whilst I was baking some chocolate concrete, I opened the packet and was confused.

"It really threw me for the day, I ran upstairs to tell my wife but she was in a meeting - I had to hold my excitement but she was well amazed.

"I have contacted KP Snacks and said they should bring them out and call them Hula Tubes, they would be perfect for dipping."

Adam's special hoop was within a Big Hoops packed he bought on December 19th. According to Sam, crisps are his favourite snack and he was surprised by the discovery.

He said: "Crisps are always my go to, they are easy to pick up out of the cupboard. I thought I would take some pictures and eat it but I still have it in a box with the wrapper.

"I think I might put it on eBay, like I said I am going to keep it in an air-tight container so it will be good to eat when the time comes."

Rowan Umland from Peckham, south London, found a 3.7-inch hoop in May 2021. Sam Lightfoot, from Barrow-in-Furness, discovered a whopping 4inch in August 2021 which he calls his greatest achievement.

Previously, a schoolboy was left shocked after opening a pack of Aldi's version of Hula Hoops to discover one which was nine centimetres long.

Will Potts felt proud to discover the enormous snack and decided not to eat it. The 10-year-old kept it safe in his lunchbox to take home at the end of the day. He even put a ruler next to it, to demonstrate its mammoth length.
