EastEnders star Danny Walters has been seen for the first time since his character, Keanu Taylor, was brutally killed off in the BBC soap on Christmas Day.

The 30-year-old actor played mechanic Keanu in the soap appeared to get back to reality as he was photographed in East London on Friday running errands.

The soap heartthrob was seen collecting clothes from a laundry dressed down in casual clothes with matching black top and shorts, Adidas sliders with Nike socks as he braved the weather. With the rain falling, Danny afforded himself some protection with a turquoise hat

Viewers last saw the actor being brutally killed off by Linda Carter in a shock Christmas Day slaying at the Queen Vic pub. The storyline had been a whole year in the making, after BBC bosses teased the Whodunnit and the tragic victim back in January.
After his fate was finally revealed, actor Danny addressed the demise of Keanu telling fans he was pleased with his soap ending. Danny said he hoped the plot would make him a part of soap history: "The Christmas Day episode is a great episode. It stands alone, and there is so much to it. The writing in the script was fantastic, and every character had such a great storyline throughout the whole episode.
"For my character, the episode is a real rollercoaster of emotions from the highs and the lows. It was such a pleasure to be part of.

"It was great to be a part of. I hope the viewers have enjoyed the storyline." But Danny was quick to praise his co-stars, adding: "As myself, I'm a small part of the bigger puzzle, but hopefully, my piece of this puzzle has made an impact."

Danny added that he was pleased that his great secret was finally out after having to keep quiet about it for so long: "It's been extremely difficult! I feel like I've been very deceitful to my friends and my family and have made many excuses! But, I wanted the storyline to have as much impact as possible on the audience, so I've tried my best to keep everything a secret and hopefully, that's paid off."

It looked like he was set for a fairytale Christmas wedding to love of his life Sharon Watts, played by Letitia Dean, when his older lover found out that he was behind the kidnapping of her son Albie.

Keanu was left standing at the altar and decided to go to the Queen Vic pub to find out the reason why he had been jilted and to see his son. Sharon's Christmas present to Keanu was to tell him that he is not Albie's dad and as the rage built inside Keanu, he put his hands around Sharon's neck and started strangling her. Unbeknown to Keanu, Sharon's best friend Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright, was on-hand to bring the situation to a shocking conclusion by plunging a kitchen knife into Keanu's back, killing him instantly and bringing an end to his time in Walford.
