Busted singer rushed to hospital after being bitten by black widow spider
James Bourne has revealed his "ended up at hospital" following a scary spider bite.
The Busted singer, 40, admits he didn't "realise how serious" the bite from a black widow spider was at one point, but realised how bad things were when he was told he was suffering from hypertensions after being refused an IV drip at a local hospital.
James, who split from his long-term girlfriend last month, is thankfully "alive and kicking" and ready to share his story now he has fully recovered. Taking to social media on Friday, the Year 3000 hitmaker shared two images with his Instagram followers, one of a black widow spider and another showing how nasty his recent bite was.
The Busted singer shared a snap of his injury with his Instagram followers on FridayCaptioning the two pictures, James told his fans : "I’m finally recovered now ( touch wood) from being bitten by a black widow spider. I did not know how serious my condition was until I was refused an IV drip at my local Next health because I was suffering hypertension with a blood pressure reading of 190 / 115 mmHg. Apparently that’s quite serious . I ended up at the hospital later that night! Anyway, im still here, Alive and kicking! Cool story bro…
"Ouch! I’m glad you are on the mend…great story though," one of James' followers commented underneath the What I Go To School for singer's update, with another adding: "Oh dam! Glad you're getting there! ...all that horrible stuff & not even spiderman powers..but seriously glad your OK x"

A third fan told the musician: "You need a Simpsons marathon and lots of um bongo. I will send a load of bubble wrap to you to keep safe. I can’t deal with any else happening especially to you."
It's been a tough end to the year for James, with the Crashed The Wedding singer not only suffering a nasty spider bite but also splitting from his girlfriend Emily Canham after four years together - with reports in November claiming the former flames are "happily moving on with their lives".
Emily, an influencer with a whopping 692,000 Instagram followers, and James, no longer follow each other on Instagram. Despite their individual successes, former couple James and Emily, who had a 14-year age gap, kept their relationship relatively low-key after they started dating in 2018.
But it's all over for the pair, with a source saying last month: "James and Emily have called it quits and are each happily moving on with their lives. James has been non-stop with the tour and managing his time between the UK and his place in LA," they told The Sun. It's also rumoured that Emily is now looking for love on celebrity dating app Raya.
