Carol Kirkwood shares more snaps from 'intimate' wedding as fans give same reply
Carol Kirkwood has shared more snaps from her "private, not secret" festive wedding with fans following a shock BBC Breakfast announcement.
BBC Breakfast hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt announced the news, with Naga telling viewers: "Carol, obviously Carol Kirkwood our friend and colleague, has got married. She married her partner Steve this week."
Following her co-stars and place of work sharing some snaps from her nuptials, Carol took to Twitter (X) on Friday morning to thank fans and famous friends for their well-wishes - with many flocking to tell the newly wed star just how good she looked in her bridal gown.
"Thank you so much for all your lovely messages," Carol began when captioning some pictures of herself and new husband Steve Randall on their special day. "We had the most perfect day. It was a tiny wedding but so romantic and intimate. A day we will never forget. We are bursting with happiness. It wasn’t a ‘secret’ wedding, just a private one."

Former Countdown star Carol Vorderman was also quick to compliment her fellow Carol on her bridal look, replying to the weather expert's tweet and telling her newly married pal: "Huge congratulations GG....you are beautiful inside and out. Wishing you both every happiness as ever xx."
"You look absolutely stunning Carol, wishing you both every happiness for the future," another Carol fan gushed, with another of the many complimentary tweets reading: "This is the most wonderful news of the marriage of the most beautiful couple. Two of the most loving,kind, caring fabulous humans to have walked the Earth. Now joined in matrimony. A beautiful partnership. Huge congratulations Carol and Steve xxx."

Carol said her big day was "one I will never forget". Carol, who was previously married to Jimmy Kirkwood from 1990 to 2008, tied the knot with Steve Randall following the former police officer popping the question last year.
Despite being a familiar face thanks to her role on BBC Breakfast and a stint on Strictly Come Dancing, Carol has previously kept a lid on her sweetheart's identity. Promoting her debut romantic novel Under A Greek Moon in 2021, she explained to the PA News agency: "He's only a secret boyfriend because I never talk about him."
"I always feel that, through my job, I put myself in the public eye and am very happy, but my partner and my family and my friends haven't, so I'm hugely respectful of their privacy. I just don't talk about them, other than to say that my partner is drop-dead gorgeous, he's funny, he makes me very happy."
