Arg dubs 'crude' Christmas gift from ex Gemma Collins 'worst present ever'

James 'Arg' Argent has revealed his ex-girlfriend Gemma Collins once left him stunned thanks to presenting him with a "crude" Christmas present.

Gemma, who is now loved-up with fiance Rami Hawash, was once in an on-and-off relationship with Arg, which began on the set of The Only Way is Essex in 2011 and was often a central part of many of the ITV show's most dramatic storylines.

In 2019, during one of their breakups, Gemma was allegedly subjected to a series of insulting text messages about her weight from Argent. She shared these exchanges on her Instagram Stories in 2020, where he compared her to a hippo among other cruel comments, but quickly deleted the post.

However, the former couple seem to be on better terms these days - with newly single Arg even feeling confident enough to reminisce about old times and joke about saucy gifts they used to exchange over past festive periods.

In a new interview, Arg was quizzed about the worst gift he's ever received from someone, with the Celebs Go Dating hesitant to share his answer at first - worrying it would be "a little crude" for readers. After being assured his fans would love to know, Arg confessed: "I think Gemma got me some... I'm not actually going to say it, sorry."

After being pushed, the Essex star continued to tell Heat magazine: "It's just a little bit crude and it's not my style. Let's put it this way, Gemma got me some intimate moisturiser once. It was literally a moisturiser, nothing sexy, but for a certain area. It was a funny, joke-like Christmas present she got. You can imagine."

It's been a tough few weeks for Arg ahead of Christmas, with the former TOWIE star reportedly splitting from his teenage girlfriend last month after almost a year together. The singer, 35, had been dating law student Stella Turian, 19, since June 2022 and even previously hinted at marriage, but it seems their romance has now ended.

Despite enjoying romantic trips to Venice, Verona and Lake Garda together, sources close to James say he's devastated as things suddenly fell apart. "Throughout the summer it became increasingly difficult for them to meet up due to their work commitments," a source told MailOnline.

"There are no hard feelings between them, they still follow each other on Instagram, and James is even invited to come out to ski with Stella and her family early next year." They added: "They made lasting memories, travelling around the most romantic parts of Italy together and Stella visited London for the first time to see James, but for now they have mutually agreed that their relationship is over."

Arg's Gemma seems to be having better luck in the romance department, with the 42-year-old sharing a string of loved-up snaps with her future husband Rami on Instagram over Christmas. Gemma and Rami have enjoyed an on-off relationship over the last 10 years - even almost getting married in 2013 - and seemingly rekindled their romance during lockdown in 2020 following her final split from Arg.

The reality TV star has made no secret of her desire to fall pregnant and start a family with Rami - telling the Mirror in 2021 she was "planning to have a baby at some point" - and has since admitted she's considering IVF. "I really want a baby now, I've not been using any contraception," The GC also explained on her podcast series in October 2021. "I can't get pregnant so I'm gonna have to be brave now and look into this myself. It feels like sometimes when's it gonna happen? Why me?"
