Dyson products are all the rage, and receiving one as a gift can make you feel really special.

But one woman's boyfriend got the wrong end of the stick after reading her wish list, leaving her seriously confused about the product he'd purchased instead. There's no denying that Christmas shopping can cause lots of stress at the best of times, and it's even worse when the person you're buying for is left disappointed with the gift you've chosen.

And the man's fiancée was left royally disappointed when he stitched her up by buying the wrong item from the same brand. She wanted something from electrical goods company Dyson, and he decided that instead of what she wanted, he'd get her a hand dryer.

Angus Duncan posted a picture of a Dyson Airblade online, writing: "Apparently I got my fiancée the wrong Dyson Air-thingy?" The photo also showed his fianceé's reaction, and it showed that he stitched her up successfully. "WHY DID YOU GET ME A HAND DRYER?", she fumed.

Hand dryers aren't commonly found in bathrooms of homes, so she was flabbergasted to get one. Speaking to Metro, Angus joked: "This is worse than the time I accidentally sent my Santa letter to Satan."

On social media, the woman was dubbed as "ungrateful", with someone else joking that it would "all blow over." Some believe that it must have been an air fryer that his fiancée had wanted instead of the hand dryer, or even a Dyson hair wrap hair dryer to make her tresses silky smooth. But instead, she was left questioning why she'd received an alternative to a hand towel.

In response to his newfound popularity, Angus went on to declare: "So, I'm an influencer now in the world of hand dryers. Purchase a Dyson Airblade using the link below and I will earn a commission. Yes, I am entirely serious."
