EuroMillions' special Boxing Day draw has taken place - and a rollover has been announced for Friday after no one scooped the £14m lottery jackpot prize.

Tuesday's EuroMillions offered a lucky ticket holder a life-changing sum of money - but no one was in possession of the top prize in the Christmas draw. It means the next draw, taking place on December 29, is worth an estimated £26million.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “The National Lottery continues to make more and more big winners - and this year smashed through the 7,000 millionaire mark. Whether it’s winners or funding Good Causes, lives are being changed every day - all with a little pink ticket."

£14m jackpot rollover

The National Lottery has confirmed there are no jackpot winners as the £14million jackpot remains unclaimed. A lottery rollover will now take place, which means the money that would have been given to the winner is added to the jackpot for the next game on Friday.

Lotto curse: Jason and Victoria Jones

Unfortunately, Jane wasn't the only winner who struggled with the "stress" of winning a huge fortune. Jason and Victoria Jones had only been married for a year when they bagged £2.3million in 2004.

The couple spent their fortune on a huge property portfolio in Devizes, Wiltshire, had purchased a luxury sports car and a lavish home. However, they still said the money ruined their lives. However, they broke up in 2016 and Victoria opened up about the stress.

She said: "It’s probably one of the worst things that’s ever happened to me. Without a shadow of a doubt. The stress it gives you in life and even 12 years down the line, I’m still classed as a lottery winner and it’s horrible. It ruins your life. People treat you differently – it’s just not a nice thing."

Meet the EuroMillions' youngest ever winner

Jane Park was named the youngest EuroMillions winner after she won a staggering £1million jackpot at the age of 17.

Despite her newfound fortune, she said her life was easier before she came into money and even had to persuade someone to date her.

She previously said: “At times it feels like winning the lottery has ruined my life. I thought it would make it 10 times better but it’s made it 10 times worse."

Builders have the luckiest chance at the lottery

The National lottery has revealed that builders have the luckiest chance at the lottery.

The profession has laid the foundations over the years and 2023 has again seen them at the top of the scaffold of millionaire-making. In equal second place are two professions who spend most of the year thinking of others - carers/social work/charity and teachers. Accelerating into equal fourth were drivers who pulled alongside more people looking after others, health service workers.

Builder Paul Bevans, from Milford Haven, bagged a staggering £10,000 a month for a year on Set For Life in March. “I know my mates will laugh when they hear this but, whenever I check my tickets on the National Lottery app, I scan it and close my eyes hoping to hear the little tune it plays when your ticket is a winner," he said. "Usually, when I hear that little ditty it’s announcing a £5 or sometimes £10 win, but this time when I opened my eyes I was congratulated on being a Set For Life winner, £10,000 every month for a year!"

Players urged to 'look everywhere' as £500k prize remains unclaimed

The National Lottery has urged players to check their tickets after a Thunderball prize of £500,000 remains unclaimed.

The lucky punter purchased the ticket in Redditch - but is yet to come forward since the draw took place on December 8.

Camelot confirmed the winning numbers as 2, 15, 31, 35, 37 and the Thunderball was 6. The person has until June 5, 2024, to claim the huge sum.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “If you bought a Thunderball ticket in Redditch for the draw on December 8, it’s time to look everywhere - in the pockets of clothes you might have been wearing at the time, bags, in the car, wallets and purses and in that sideboard or drawer where we all tend to put bits and pieces - and check your tickets.

“Do you live or work in this area, do you have family and friends there who you were visiting, were you just passing through or were you hitting the town for your work Christmas party?

“We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and pay out their life-changing prize - imagine the possibilities for them, especially with Christmas now only a matter of days away! We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
