Tiger King star Joe Exotic enjoyed a festive dinner in his jail cell in Fort Worth, Texas. Despite being behind bars, he didn't miss out on a Christmas feast.

Last year, the 60-year-old Netflix sensation relished a fusion-inspired festive meal that his veggie rival, Carole Baskin, would not approve of. According to TMZ, Exotic was served a baked Cornish hen, stuffing, carrots and gravy on a bed of tofu fried rice. His dessert was bread and butter pudding with an extra serving of fruit and holiday pies.

This menu is similar to what he had two years ago, which included the same fancy chicken, but with a side of mac and cheese, sweet peas and cornbread dressing, all topped off with a slice of pumpkin pie. Back in 2019, Exotic was found guilty of attempts to kill Carole Baskin, owner of Big Cat Sanctuary, along with 17 animal cruelty charges and is now facing a 22-year jail sentence.

Baskin opposed his major attraction at his zoo in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, named 'Play Times with Tiger Cubs'. He had offered two men $10,000 (£7,850) to eliminate Baskin who had taken him to court for more than $1 million (£785,000), with one turning out to be an undercover FBI agent.

Exotic's appeal for a retrial last year was soundly rejected, with the judge telling him that it was truly his "own words that convicted him," as brought to light by court documents. His case got international attention when featured in the 2020 Netflix sensation Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness. Exotic, self-described as a "gay, gun-carrying redneck with a mullet," managed to intrigue millions around the globe.

It comes many months after it was claimed Joe has been struggling in prison after spending a month in solitary confinement. In July, sources claimed the infamous Netflix star was separated from fellow inmates at Fort Worth. Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado, is still campaigning to become the next president of the United States despite his incarceration. However, his time in solitary is affecting him in many ways according to those close to him.

A source claimed to The Mirror: "Joe is not doing well. He’s thirsty and locked in a cage smaller than what the guidelines are for captive monkeys, even smaller than a parking spot. Joe is not able to make any phone calls and he has lost 18 pounds so far with no access to nutritious fresh foods or cold clean water."
