Stuff Your Kindle Day happens only four times a year, in 2023 it’s been March 31, June 30, September 20, and December 27 and next year the dates are not yet confirmed. Now while it does have Kindle in the name it’s actually applicable across all e-readers including Kobo, Apple Books and Google Play.

As the name might suggest it’s an opportunity to stuff your Kindle with books at no extra cost. While many of these books may be available on this adds them permanently to your library so you don’t have to worry about returning them to borrow the latest book being talked about on Instagram.

There are thousands of free books available for that day only at no charge - it is important to double check that the book is actually free of charge before buying to avoid any accidental charges to your account. Many genres are included but romance seems to be the main area represented on Stuff Your Kindle Day.

Our resident book lover took part in Stuff Your Kindle Day on September 20 and this is what she said: “Stuff Your Kindle Day is a great way to make sure you’ve always got something to read, although with my seemingly never ending to-be-read pile that isn’t something I tend to worry about. I found about 30 books on the last Stuff Your Kindle Day and while I’ve not read all of them yet, I’ve really like the ones I had.

“I only found the through Stuff Your Kindle Day since the first book was included in the promotion. I flew through all four books and have since started reading other Jenny Proctor books as I’d never been familiar with her work before then.

“It’s a great way to discover new books and authors and it feels pretty harmless since if you get a book for free and don’t like it, at least you’ve not lost any money. I’ll definitely be checking it out every time it comes around.”
