Swift consoles Brittany Mahomes after Chiefs loss as she's blasted a distraction
Taylor Swift was seen comforting Brittany Mahomes after the Kansas City Chiefs' tough loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day.
The Chiefs, who were hoping to secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC, suffered their third defeat in their last four games. Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs' quarterback, had a difficult day, throwing a Pick-6 after a fumble led to another score. The Raiders' defence scored two touchdowns in quick succession.
Taylor Swift was there to comfort Brittany in the Chiefs box after the 20-14 loss was confirmed. The Chiefs are now 9-6 after a rough second half of the season. Initially, Swift seemed to bring good luck, with the Chiefs winning 4-0 when she was present. However, since she left for the South American leg of her "Eras Tour", the team has struggled.

Undisputed presenter Skip Bayless suggested that superstar Taylor Swift could be impacting the Chiefs' performances. "Feels like it's about time to call Taylor Swift a distraction," he wrote on X.
"What do you think, Patrick (Mahomes)? Andy (Reid)? How about you, Travis (Kelce)?" Swift is regularly seen at Chiefs matches, with cameras cutting to her frequently when her boyfriend Kelce makes a big play.

But, according to Taylor, she's just there to support her beau and doesn't want to distract from the team's focus.
A source told US Weekly in October: "Taylor doesn't want to be a distraction to Travis. She knows it's not easy when she shows up to his games. It's a spectacle. She wants to support him and strike a balance while, at the same time, not be distracting to the team."
The Super Bowl-winning side isn't performing as brilliantly on offense this year, depending heavily on rookie wideout Rashee Rice and tight end Kelce. With the departure of former coordinator Eric Bieniemy to Washington Commanders, coach Reid needs to revise their strategy ahead of the playoffs.
