All the clues you missed that Keanu was going to die in EastEnders this Xmas
EastEnders aired a shocking death this evening as Keanu Taylor met his end.
The BBC soap has been teasing for months about who the mystery dead body. Back in February, a big flashforward scene aired which saw The Six - Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki ( Balvinder Sopal ) - stood around a dead body as Sharon pronounced he was dead.
In tonight's episode, we watched on as one man was revealed as the victim after several men found themselves in the firing line. Jack Branning, Nish Panesar, Dean Wicks, Phil Mitchell, Keanu Taylor, Ravi Gulati and Rocky Cotton were all listed as potential victims but after 10 months of waiting, all was revealed about the Christmas murder.

Ahead of the wedding though, a message featuring in the background of scenes just a couple of weeks ago may have given the game away as to Keanu's fate. Some eagle-eyed viewers were quick to notice a banner showing a message as Keanu celebrated his stag do at the club. The message read: "Hello wife, goodbye life." Keanu was stood right by it too, with this obviously being a reference to his looming wedding. But it turned out to be foreshadowing his shock death.

Song clue
Fans were convinced they spotted a clue from the February flash-forward scene that proved Keanu was the victim. Taking to Reddit, one fan noticed that Stay Another Day was playing, linked to Christmas 2019.
They wrote: "I'm now convinced that the body on the floor at Christmas will be keanu.. in the flashforward scene we hear “stay another day” by east 17 playing in the background. Does anyone remember at the end of the Christmas episode In 2019 when Martin “killed” keanu.. that same song was playing in the background.. and the fact we see the fire in the vic like how we saw the fire at the allotment when Martin burned his clothes.. may seem a bit far fetched but you never know."
His own words
Danny hadn't been shy about discussing the Christmas death storyline. In an exclusive chat with The Mirror earlier this year, Danny admitted there were things he's had to hide about the fate of his character, adding: "It's not what I can tease, it's what I can't say. There's a lot going on for my character, for character he's involved with. I really want to tell you a lot of things coming up. The storylines are so juicy and fun for me to play and it's going to be fun for the audience to watch. I want to say more!
"It's interesting, because the females that are involved in the flashforward, they are attached and associated with men in their life. And anyone who is attached or associated to those women... there is speculation it could be myself, it could be anyone who's a male on the Square who's associated with the women. Whoever it's going to be I have faith, I trust in the producers that the storyline will be incredible and will be a storyline that has got the nation speculating and talking."
Bell clue
EastEnders has used a ringing bell throughout all of the Christmas promos and trailers. The soap has been so focused on the sound - and have regularly used the strapline "for whom the bell tolls".
One of the first things we found out was that Sharon was getting married to Keanu, with fans now convinced the bell clue proved all along that Keanu would die. After all, the bell tolls for those who get married.
