Hannah Waddingham certainly left a lasting impression on James Martin's Christmas Day fans.

The Ted Lasso actress, 49, had fans saying the same thing as they tuned into the pre-recorded special before sitting down for their festive lunches and activities. Hannah appeared in high spirits as she and chef James, 51, chatted with one another throughout the programme as they discussed the festive period.

Hannah couldn't help but comment on James' techniques as she called him a "caveman" after witnessing him add butter to a pan. But that's not all, the actress helped herself to some of the cooked food as James continued to prepare it as she couldn't resist the crispy skin from the cooked chicken.

One viewer went as far as to suggest that everybody should "cancel" their Christmas plans and watch Hannah Waddingham on the programme. Meanwhile, another couldn't help but laugh as they typed: "Can we have @hanwaddingham on James Martin every weekend? It's only been on 14 mins and just absolutely brilliant chaos."

But away from her guest appearance on the ITV show, Hannah also had her own festive television special. In the Apple TV+ special, which was filmed in front of a live audience, Hannah is greeted by a string of celebrities including her Tes Lasso co-star Jason Sudeikis as well as Brett Goldstein.

Speaking about the show, Hannah said: "There was nowhere else I wanted to be, my heart is in that building. I've been there since I was eight years old until my mum retired when I was 38. I've run around the corridors, talked to the loo attendants, canteen staff and front of house staff. They all knew me since I was a little girl.

"When the English National Opera Chorus got wind of me filming the holiday special there, they reached out and said they'd like to come and sing with their girl. It was incredible."
