Gemma Collins joked there was "something wrong with her IQ" as she appeared on the Blankety Blank Christmas Special.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star joined the star-studded celebrity panel alongside Brian Blessed, AJ Odudu, Katherine Ryan, Rob Beckett and Ainsley Harriott for the iconic game show's festive edition fronted by The Chase host Bradley Walsh.

Live TV viewers couldn't believe the moment Gemma joked about her IQ in Saturday night's instalment, with fans flocking to X, formally Twitter, to share their amusement at the reality TV star's hilarious comment as she gave her answers on BBC One.

One person wrote: "Best quote of 2023 is from Gemma Collins. 'I think there's something wrong with my IQ'." While another added: "#blanketyblank love Gemma Collins me." A third quipped: "Gemma’s blonde moments #BlanketyBlank."

Earlier in the episode viewers fumed they were "contacting Ofcom" after spotting a "cheating" player. Fans think they spotted contestant Jason with 'two playing cards' during one round on the iconic game show on Saturday night.

It was after one of Gemma's answers that viewers think they saw Jason "cheat" as they flocked to X to complain about the episode. "Did Jason have two separate cards with answers on there #BlanketyBlank," wrote one person.

Another claimed: "Jason had 2 cards so I think he’s a cheat and a fraud I’ve contacted @Ofcom #blanketyblank." While someone else said: "did Jason choose from two cards then ???." A fourth said: "Did he have 2 answers written down.......looked dodgy. #blanketyblank"

Someone else concluded: "Only a bit of fun but actually open mouthed at the answers on #blanketyblank" Blankety Blank first aired back in 1979 and over the years has been hosted by Paul O'Grady's drag alter-ego Lily Savage and Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams.

As two contestants compete to be crowned the winner, the object of the game is to match the answers of as many of the six celebrity panellists as possible on fill-in-the-blank statements. The Supermatch prizes consist of £500, £750, and prize worth over £750.
