Vanessa Feltz' Christmas plans after split from Ben Ofoedu and 'cheating' claims

TV star Vanessa Feltz, who got engaged to 90s boyband star Ben Ofoedu in 2006, has revealed her Christmas plans a year after their painful split.

The couple planned to wed the following year but never did, and they stayed together until late 2022. Vanessa announced the sad news of their break up following reports that Ben had allegedly been unfaithful. Her daughter Allegra previously opened up about how the alleged affair was discovered, after receiving 'abusive and extremely hurtful' messages on social media.

Allegra said earlier this year: "It was on Christmas Day, of all days," and "We were all together as a family, but Ben was away in pantomime when the messages appeared via Instagram."

Now, writing in her Closer column, Vanessa has shared her plans for a peaceful Christmas surrounded by her cherished grandchildren. She said: "I want to rekindle a childlike pleasure. This means abandoning all thoughts of good taste. Do I want an elegant all-white and taupe Christmas tree? I can't think of anything worse," she joked.

The Talk TV host then expressed her love for a perfectly imperfect Christmas with her family. "I love the wonky baubles, homemade by the grandchildren, the souvenirs of the past and the weird unlatching bears, frogs, and unicorns we seem to have accumulated, filling the room with memories. This year it's dazzlingly simple - we've never needed Christmas more," she shared.

Earlier this year, Vanessa opened up about her tough times after breaking up, saying she has been out a lot. She told OK! Magazine earlier this year that being alone isn't easy for her and she's been going out 'every single night' since the split. "I've just kept really busy. I've found that's the way I can keep going. I'm just not good at being on my own it's not in my DNA," she confessed.

In January, the This Morning star bravely faced the news, declaring: "I feel incredibly sad and I'm pretty disappointed and shocked and all those horrible things, but also full of resolve. I am not going to let this defeat me."

Six months later, she jumped back into dating by joining the E4 show Celebs Go Dating. But even though Vanessa didn't find lasting love on the show, she's not giving up.
