Katherine Ryan has labelled singer Justin Timberlake as a "grubby little eel face" as she slammed his thoughts and actions surrounding Britney Spears, when they were in a relationship a couple of decades ago.

The 40-year-old comedian didn't mince her words as she spoke out against the Cry Me A River hitmaker during her podcast, Telling Everybody Everything and said that his behaviour with Britney and then with Janet Jackson during and after her infamous wardrobe malfunction during Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004.

With the release of Britney's memoir, The Woman In Me, in October there has been a new light shed on her relationship with Timerberlake with the Toxic singer claiming that he had cheated on her multiple times while they were dating. This follows him looking to shape the narrative on their breakup with the video to his hit Cry Me A River featuring an actor that looked like his ex, being with another guy.

Britney claimed in her memoir that she had been made to look like "a harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy", while she said that the split left her "comatose in Louisiana" as Timberlake was allegedly "happily running around Hollywood" seemingly unaffected emotionally from their relationship falling apart. Britney has also claimed that the singer pressured her into having an abortion after she fell pregnant with their child.

Timberlake recently preceded a performance of Cry Me A River at the opening of new Las Vegas hotel, Fountainebleau, by saying, "No disrespect" in an alleged nod to his former beau. Katherine has hit out at this and took aim at Timberlake over the comment and also his behaviour in the past.

The comedian said on her podcast: "So Justin Timberlake popped his grubby little eel face out from the rock he previously crawled behind to perform at the opening of new Las Vegas hotspot, Fountainebleau, smugly offering up, quote 'No disrespect,' before performing Cry Me A River and we know that at the time there was loads of press around the song being about Britney Spears cheating on him."

She continued: "It was supposedly about their breakup and Justin Timberlake at that time could do no wrong, and I really have no problem with him but this is a slimy f****** thing to say. He just wasn’t this nice guy that we thought he was."

Katherine that went on to speak about the Super Bowl incident in which Timberlake accidentally revealed Janet's boob as they performed together. The moment almost brought an end to Janet's career, said Katherine, but also seemingly had no consequence on Timberlake's future at the time.

She continued: "He was involved in that Superbowl Janet Jackson boob reveal and she almost lost her career for that and nothing was said about him. He was the one that removed the little part of her bra that showed almost her nipple. Janet Jackson, an iconic legendary black woman, took all of the fall for that and Justin Timberlake was like fine, and in his break up with Britney, she sort of went off the rails and Justin Timberlake was… fine. He’s just not the good guy that we thought he was."

Katherine continued with her withering takedown of the singer saying: "No disrespect, but the new meaning of that song now is just loaded with poison." She then turned on women of her age who were still fans of Timberlake, saying: "No disrespect – quote, if I saw a woman rocking a Justin Timberlake jacket it would have to be ironically.

"If Justin wants to win the respect of women in my age group – we are also the first generation of real pop culture feminists, we discovered girl power with the Spice Girls, we’re always a team Britney kind of generation, and so we have to hate Justin now."
