Alex Scott goes Instagram official with Jess Glynne with SPOTY snaps
Alex Scott has shared a rare snap of herself celebrating with girlfriend Jess Glynne.
The 39-year-old sports presenter and the 34-year-old singer were first linked in October - with the pair spotted covertly enjoying dates together. They went on to confirm their romance with a very public display of affection the following month - but have been keeping their blossoming relationship largely out of the spotlight while they continue to grow close.
Last week, the BBC hosted the annual Sport Personality of the Year award - where goal keeper Mary Earlps was crowned winner of the prestigious award. Alex was at the ceremony to host proceedings alongside fellow hosts Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Gary Lineker.
On Friday, Alex took to Instagram to share her own personal highlights from the night, uploading 10 images and videos from the awards ceremony from her main feed. Among the cache of images was a lift selfie showing Alex, Gabby and others crowded together.

Alex herself also shared a dazzling smile for the photograph while the others in the shot also looked delighted in the moment. She shared the snaps alongside a caption, stating: "The 70th BBC sports personality of the year. Last show of 2023 and ending it on a high.

Other images and clips that were shared included shots of Alex walking the red carpet, posing alongside Mary and the award, and scenes of her on stage at the event. While Alex and Jess have been working hard to keep their romance to themselves, details have leaked into the public sphere.
A source preciously told The Sun: "Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn’t want to rush things or go public too soon. But they’re officially an item now and seem really happy. They are both strong, independent women with a shared passion and respect of their respective careers, supporting one another from the sidelines."
Alex previously opened up about her past romances in her 2022 autobiography, How (Not) To Be Strong, where she revealed she dated fellow Lioness Kelly Smith for eight years from 2005 until 2013. Speaking of their time together, Alex said she fell ‘madly and deeply in love’ with her teammate - but she said she debated whether or not to include their romance in her memoir.
She said at her book launch last year: “I went back and forth on whether I’d actually be writing the chapter. But then it was one of those moments, I’m writing this book and I want to tell everything. I thought I’d be cheating you all if I didn’t put that in there. And for me, it’s like that first love story, I fell madly and deeply in love. And yes, there’s that heartbreak and those things, but it’s a huge part of my life and I wouldn’t go back and change that. Because that feeling of love and that excitement and what it gives you, it needed to be in there.”
