A Premier League supercomputer has tipped Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool to get the better of Arsenal when Mikel Arteta's men make the trip to Anfield on Saturday night.

It is the Gunners who currently sit top of the table after 17 games played, having beaten Brighton 2-0 at the Emirates last time out. Liverpool underwhelmed at home against Manchester United and were held to a 0-0 draw, which in turn allowed Arsenal to leapfrog them into top spot.

Going into Saturday night's showdown, Arsenal are one point ahead of their hosts and know if they come away from Merseyside with even a point to show for their efforts, they will keep their noses in front in the race for the title.

However, unfortunately for the Gunners faithful, BetVictor 's supercomputer have backed Liverpool to come out on top. Klopp's side have been given a 47 per cent likelihood of getting the better of Arsenal, whose chances sit at just 30 per cent.

Meanwhile, Everton are in fine form at the moment but have been given just a 33 per cent chance of making it five wins from five games when they travel to Tottenham. Spurs edge it as favourites a 43 per cent chance of victory, having started to pick up some momentum themselves in recent weeks.

The supercomputer has identified Bournemouth as the favourites when they meet Nottingham Forest. Some may have been inclined to back Forest as Nuno Espirito Santo prepres for his first game at the helm, but the Cherries have named the marginal favourites, with a 37.7 percent chance of winning, as opposed to Forest's 37.1.

Manchester United are the favourites for their meeting with West Ham at the London Stadium. The pair clash on Saturday lunchtime in east London and the supercomputer has backed Erik ten Hag's side as the most likely winners with a 40.4 per cent chance of three points.

The most one-sided clash of the weekend according to the computer is Newcastle's trip to Luton, with the Magpies the overwhelming favourites. Eddie Howe's side are 69.9 per cent likely to get the better of the Hatters, who will be without captain Tom Lockyer as he recovers from a cardiac arrest suffered during last week's fixture at Bournemouth.

Fulham 's morale is likely to be high having reached the final four of the Carabao Cup and Marco Silva will be desperate to keep the feel-good factor around Craven Cottage with a win against Burnley. Luckily for him, the supercomputer makes Fulham favourites, with a 49.7 per cent chance of winning, in contrast to the Clarets' 23.2.

A rare Premier League Christmas Eve clash sees Chelsea make the trip to the Molinuex. For all of the Blues' recent struggles, Mauricio Pochettino's side are deemed the clear favourites for this one, with the algorithm determining that they have a 46.1 per cent chance of winning.
