Spice Girl's Mel B has doubled down on her scathing comment about James Corden.

The singer branded the Gavin and Stacey star one of the "biggest d***heads" she has ever met back in 2022. Mel B has since proudly owned the comment during her appearance on Joe Lycett's show Late Night. She had originally made the comment in an interview on The Big Narstie Show last year.

Mo Gilligan asked: "Who is the biggest d***head celebrity you've ever met?" Mel quipped: "So, there's a few. James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J and me!" Mo questioned: "But Geri, she's your bandmate?," to which Mel replied: "I know, I love her to bits but she's really f***ing annoying."

Big Narstie asked Mel why she doesn't like Late Late show host James Corden. She said: “I think you always have to be nice to the people that you work with whether it be production, camera guys, sound, lighting - we all work for the same thing. So you should always be nice and he hasn’t been very nice."

While on the Joe Lycett show this week, the comedian asked which of the iconic 90s girl band made the remark about James. Mel proudly threw her arm in the air and declared: "Me!"

The comedian was widely criticised after he was banned from New York eatery Balthazar amid claims he had been "nasty" to waiting staff. The Gavin and Stacey writer was called a "gifted comedian" but a "cretin of a man" in a furious Instagram post, shared by owner and food mogul Keith McNally. Corden apologised for the matter and his ban was lifted.

The TV personality then further said he's done "nothing wrong", sparking another outburst from Keith on social media. In an apology, James said: "I didn't shout or scream, I didn't get up out of my seat, I didn't call anyone names or use derogatory language. But the truth is I have made a rude, rude comment. And it was wrong. It was an unnecessary comment, it was ungracious to the server."

Not long before, James faced a petition of 12,000 people to ban his Late Late Show game Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts for being “culturally insensitive” by often serving culturally Asian dishes. Back in 2017, James was also forced to apologise for making jokes about Harvey Weinstein's sexual assault scandal at a charity bash in Los Angeles.

Earlier this year James was labelled the "most difficult and obnoxious presenter" to work with by a director Sky's A League of Their Own. Craig Duncan worked with James on one episode from season seven of the hit programme, where he directed a pre-recorded Masterchef style challenge.

Craig since branded the presenter "difficult" to work with following their interactions on set. "The most difficult and obnoxious presenter I've ever worked with is James Corden," he told his YouTube followers on his channel Fudded.
