Evri mystery as entire street miss parcels - and they're all sent the same photo
An entire street was left scratching their heads just before Christmas when they could not find their Evri parcels outside their homes, despite the firm marking them as delivered.
Several people looking out for parcels ahead of Christmas were delighted when they received messages saying they had arrived, alongside a cryptic photo as proof. However, when they went to look they were nowhere to be seen causing several people to panic over what to get their children for Christmas.
Hayley Crossland, who spent £100 on gifts for her kid, told how her neighbours in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester, started searching and knocking on doors when they all got the same message at once.
She told the MEN: "The same picture appears to have been sent to everyone at the same time. My order was £100 worth of goods and presents for my child. It was meant to come between 1pm and 8pm and then I just got a notification on the app saying it had been delivered with proof. The picture was just hatchlings or fabric of some kind. I knocked on my neighbours to see if someone has taken it in and they were saying no."

Mollie Atkinson, a customer from Wythenshawe, said: "I've been waiting all day for my parcel and then I get an email saying it's been delivered - but it hasn't. Then the delivery picture is just what looks like the back of a car seat. It's happened to a lot of people."

One person said: "I've had exactly the same. Mines a Christmas present too." Another added: "I've just got the same picture as did my daughter and my neighbour. I was stood at my door when I received the notification it had been delivered!" A third posted: "My mates parcel never turned up, same pic."
The exact number of affected parcels or customers in the Wythenshawe area remains unknown. Evri say the parcels had been 'scanned in error' by a new courier, and urged anyone concerned about their deliveries to contact them.
A representative for Evri said: "Our ambition is every customer's experience is a positive one and we've looked into what happened with these parcels. The parcels were scanned as delivered in error by a new courier, all the parcels are out for delivery today.
