I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star Fred Sirieix has shared with fans that his weight has dropped an astonishing half a stone while in the Australian jungle.

The First Dates star, 51, who asserted himself as the camp chef soon after entering the jungle, posted a picture of himself standing on an electric scale, with a reading of 73.8kg - which is 3kg less than when he entered the jungle. Fred is now 11.6 stone and he attributes this to a low calorie diet of rice and beans, that took a toll on his body while on the show. He explained that he was still determined to maintain a daily exercise routine to remain in shape.

Alongside the picture, he wrote: "Back training today for the first time since I got out from the jungle. While I was in there I trained everyday for 20 mins. Basic stuff - 301 push ups 100 squats, 100 reverse squats. A set on the minute for 20 minutes." He added: "The low calorie diet of rice and beans really takes its toll on the body after a while. We were all getting smaller by the day. I lost quite a bit of weight but not as much as I would have done if I did not exercise. Keeping active and staying strong never made more sense."

Fred then revealed that his stomach started to shrink during his stint on the ITV show, which has resulted in him eating less since leaving the reality TV show. He added: "But today was hard. I pushed through. I know what I need to do - build my muscles up again. It will take a little time. I’m still about 73.8kgs which is 3kgs less than when I left for Australia. The stomach shrinks to cope with hunger and so now I eat much less as a result. Oh! And I just found out I was Torso of the week. Well that made me happy. It took me back to the time when I was a teenager. I was very skinny. Not really attractive. I knew it. I felt it. It was embarrassing me at times."

He continued: "It was not easy to work through the lack of confidence associated with a negative body image. But I did it. Anyway here I am. Talking to my young self. And now I’m TORSO OF THE WEEK. None of this means anything really. What matters is - are you happy?" Fans saw Fred lock horns with This Morning host Josie Gibson after she replaced him as camp chef and Tony Bellew became sous chef.

But it looks as though the I'm A Celebrity star is still keen to stir the pot after he posted a video of himself cooking a Jamaican dish of curry goat, making a dig at the former boxer. Posting a video on social media, he told his followers: "Here we go, the first thing I'm cooking that's fresh out of the jungle is curried goat. It's ready to braise now for a few hours. Two scotch bonnets, loads of thyme and yes there may well be a couple of stock cubes in there - I couldn't help myself, we need the flavour."

When in the jungle, Tony was left furious after Fred accidentally threw a stock cube into the fire. And on the back of this, Tony then refused to eat the rice without the stock cube, causing tension in the camp. Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Tony said: "Fred has thrown it away. Inside of me, that really annoyed me."

At the time, Fred confessed: "I threw the stock cube on the fire. I threw the stock cube on the fire!" And at first, Tony had thought it was a joke when he said: "You're really not joking? It's not. That's a killer. I don't eat the rice without it." Stock cubes became a vital ingredient for meals in the jungle.
