A woman has told in detail how an ‘unstable’ and ‘homophobic’ neighbour became ‘obsessed’ with her and her wife, with the latest episode leading to a huge fight between her and the couple. The lady, who is currently seven months pregnant, told how although the neighbour had caused problems for the couple in the past, the ‘stalking’ story unfolded while her wife was out with her mother.

Wanting to make sure she and the baby were OK, her doting father-in-law, Derek, decided to come over to keep her company. And feeling in the festive spirit, the pair decided to bake some Christmas treats for the local community centre's annual bake sale.

“We had decided to go to the grocery store to pick up whatever ingredients we needed. At the time I hadn't noticed my delightful (note the sarcasm) neighbour Marie was watching us,” she said. “Personally I had thought I'd seen the last of her after my wife nearly beat the crap out of her for calling me a particularly offensive word that rhymes with bike, but apparently not.”

She continued: “As a pregnant woman, I'm not the most stable on my feet right now, so while descending the whooping three steps at my front door, Derek offered his arm out to help me balance and to make sure I didn't trip or anything. Pretty normal gesture right? Well, apparently not according to Marie. She took it upon herself to take a pic of us and followed us to the grocery store to take more pictures of us...buying groceries. I know – how utterly scandalous of us.”

She then told how it had escalated dramatically when the nosy neighbour knocked on the door to show her ‘evidence’. “My wife answered the door to Marie shoving a phone in her face ranting about how much of a slut I am and accused me of cheating on my wife to get pregnant (the irony considering the kid is biologically my wife's). My wife, in all her 8am half-awake glory, simply responded by shouting "F*CK OFF!" (which woke me up lol) and slamming the door in her face. Appropriate response in my opinion.”

After taking to Reddit to tell her story, many readers urged her to take things to the police in case they escalated further: “Sounds like a protective police report for stalking/harassment. Wonder how she will act after kiddo arrives,” said one.

“Her behaviour is absolutely disgusting,” said another. “Even if you were having an affair with half the men and women on the street, it's none of her goddam business. She needs to get a life. Good on your wife for telling her where to go!”

Another advised her to get a restraining order. “Normal people do not follow people to stores and take pictures. She has already shown you that she is a homophobe. What is she going to do when she decides that you don't deserve to be a parent? Yeah, this isn't about you anymore. Start a paper trail ASAP. I wonder if there's a mental health crisis going on with her. Being curious is one thing but following you to the store is bizarre.”
