Meghan Markle has revealed her son Prince Archie shares a common interest with his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The late monarch may not have spent much time with Archie, but that didn't stop her from passing down one of her hobbies. Speaking at a a Q&A following a screening of the popular Netflix film The After, Meghan revealed her son has developed a love of photography.

The Duchess of Sussex said Archie might be following in the footsteps of her close friend and director Misan Harriman, who has taken a number of photographs of Meghan and her husband Prince Harry. "Misan was showing him how to do photography the last time he was with us," Meghan explained.

Leica cameras can come with a hefty price tag, with some models costing £8,000. Queen Elizabeth, who also had a passion for photography, was lucky enough to own her very own Leica camera. The late monarch was often seen taking photographs ah horse shows when her late husband Prince Phillip was competing.

It's unknown what Archie will be getting for Christmas from his parents, but he he did once receive a rather unusual gift from his great-grandmother. When the youngster was two, he wanted one thing in particular and the Queen went right ahead and made the purchase, organising for the gift to be shipped out to the Sussexes home in Montecito, California.

During an appearance on The Late Late Show, the Duke of Sussex revealed: "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker. Harry added: "So she sent us a waffle maker for Archie, so breakfast now Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes.

"He loves it. And now I have waffles for breakfast, bit of yoghurt, bit of jam on top. I don't know if that's the right thing to do. Berries, bit of honey."

Host James Corden seemed confused and interrupted Harry, saying: "Sorry you're glossing over the fact that I cannot for the life of me imagine the Queen ordering a waffle maker to be sent to Santa Barbara. I can't get my head around it." Harry replied: "I don't even know how to comment on that. Archie wakes up in the morning and literally just goes 'waffle?'."
