Moment ‘drunk’ passenger brawls with cops as they drag him off busy flight
The moment a man fought with police after he punched another officer before being dragged off his flight has been caught on camera.
The man, who was reported to be drunk, was met with jeers from other passengers onboard as he was kicked off the plane after it had descended into chaos and left kids crying. The man behind the punch-up has been widely reported as a US-based Polish national. One man in the video was heard screaming "f*** you" and several other passengers turned around and glared at him, who was allegedly drinking heavily before the flight. The astonishing scrap happened on board a Spirit Airlines flight from the Colombian city of Barranquilla to Miami, Florida yesterday afternoon.
Shocking footage of the scrap was released by Colombian police and shows one man being escorted through the aisle on the packed jet by security, flight attendants and two police officers. During the video, people can be heard whistling and cheering as the security takes the man down the aisle with many sitting filming his eviction. In an attempt to diffuse the escalating situation, two police behind him order him to keep on moving to get the man off the plane. After he refuses to move and continues to fight with other passengers, the second officer pushes his colleague in the back to barge the man forward. Already fuming, the screaming man then punches the cop straight in the jaw.
Then a huge brawl erupts between the bloke, the security team and the cops tasked with removing him from the plane. During this outburst of attacks, his words are continuing to cause trouble as he lets off a barrage of harsh expletives. At one point the man yells "I hate you", at the police before more and more swearing. A child can also be heard crying with the mum saying: "It’s okay, it’s okay."
The chaos ended with the man being wrestled to the floor and handcuffed before he was escorted off the plane for the other passenger's safety. Local reports said cops had been called because the man appeared to be in a drunk state when he boarded the plane and the pilot declared he wasn't moving until the guy was off his plane because of his drunk behaviour.
