What's better than a full English? One stuffed into the convenience of a sandwich.

But, one Dad's hope for the perfect brekkie-on-the-go was quickly shattered when he checked the filling - and realised it looked very different to the pictures.Joel Turner from Stroud in Gloucestershire purchased the All Day Breakfast sandwich from Aldi for just £1.99, hoping the meaty sandwich would fill him up.

However, the father says he was 'deceived' by the triple pack, which consists of three sandwiches: bacon and egg, sausage and egg, and bacon, sausage, and egg. Despite the cheap price tag, the man says the product was 'pitiful'.

Posting a hilarious photo on Facebook in 2019, Turner said he was 'very disappointed' with the sarnie that wasn't 'even half full'. "It's very deceiving as it looks full in the packet," he added. "But when when you actually look inside you get this. It was pitiful and deceiving!"

Aldi offered to refund the man £1.99 for the poorly-filled sandwich, but Turner told the Mirror at the time he didn't keep his receipt so can't claim the money back.

If you're looking to upgrade your sarnie experience, luxury department store Harrods is flogging one for an eye-watering £28. Yes, you read that right: £28.

The takeaway offering is filled with expensive ingredients including Wagyu beef, one of the world's priciest meats imported from Japan, as well as porcini and truffle butter, gold mustard mayonnaise and mushrooms, rocket and braised onions.

Wagyu can cost as much as £160 per pound, while truffle is one of the most expensive ingredients going, costing between 65p and £1 for a single gram. But is it ever worth breaking the bank for a mid-week lunch?

On social media, the sandwich didn't go down well - with one user writing on X: "Just saw someone on TikTok buy and review a sandwich from Harrods that was £28. TWENTY. EIGHT. BRITISH. POUNDS."
