Strictly fans in hysterics over Angela blunder just hours after dropping spoiler

Angela Scanlon suffered another live TV blunder on Saturday evening just hours after she accidentally let slip a Strictly Come Dancing spoiler on Friday night.

During Saturday's live show, the Irish presenter, 39, was seen congratulating Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin after they received four 10s from the judges. However, at the exact same time, singer Olly Alexander appeared on screen to announce they will be representing the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest next year.

Angela didn't realise she was in Olly's, 33, shot as she hugged Layton and Nikita but upon turning around quickly realised as she mouthed: "Oh, sorry!" before covering her mouth in embarrassment.

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to react to the scenes as one person said: "Angela Scanlon realising she was actually on LIVE TV is probably the highlight of the final #Strictly #StrictlyFinal" while another added: "Angela Scanlon having a fangirl moment over olly alexander is so relatable i love you queen #Strictly."

It comes just hours after Angela appeared on Friday's It Takes Two with her fellow co-stars to tease the then upcoming group dance and being reunited with her former pro partner Carlos Gu. Amy Dowden, who was hosting a segment for It Takes Two, asked the former contestant: "Angela, are you looking forward to having one more spin around the ballroom?"

To which Angela replied: "Oh, I can't wait! Also, I love that everyone is getting to do one of their favourite little moments so for myself and Carlos, we're doing Charleston..." Amy, 33, was quick to interject as she said: "Little spoiler there, little spoiler!" with a red-faced Angela covering her mouth as she replied: "Oh sorry, am I not allowed to say that?"

However, ever the pro, Angela saw the funny side as she quickly added: "Anyway, you heard it here first! Yeah, so I can't wait, absolutely very excited to get the old Charleston hat back on!" Angela and pro Carlos were the ninth duo to be eliminated last month. The TV presenter, who had impressed the judges and viewers across the later part of the series, found herself in the dreaded dance-off against show favourites Layton and Nikita.
