Travis Scott cancelled show hours before start 'because of private jet issues'
Travis Scott was forced to postpone his gig in Chicago last night due to issues with his private jet.
The rapper, 32, enraged fans when he announced via Instagram that his show at the United Center wasn't going ahead - just hours before he was due on stage. The statement read: “Travis Scott’s show at United Center scheduled for tonight has been postponed. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced. More information will be posted here and emailed to ticket holders directly when available.”
Fans were quick to take to the comments to vent their anger at the situation, with one writing: “You did Chicago so dirty bro I was so ready for tonight man why didn’t you give an earlier notice?” Another added: “That’s all you have to say to the fans who came to Chicago to see you???”

The rapper has bee clocking up a lot of air miles over the past few weeks. He performed in Detroit on Tuesday night before flying to the Soundstorm 2023 music festival in Saudi Arabia, where he was booked in as headliner on the opening night. He was then due to fly back to the US yesterday for the Chicago date of 'Utopia’ World Tour.
Pampered pooches on UK's first private jets for pets airline ready for take-offWhile no official reason was given for the show being pulled, it was reported by BreakingNews.ie that issues with the dad-of-two's private jet could be to blame. The outlet reports that when it made a scheduled refuelling stop in Shannon, the crew identified a technical issue which delayed it taking off for the next part of the journey on time.
Once up in the air, a different issue was identified, and after burning off a portion of fuel, they landed again at Shannon. After over five hours on the ground, the jet departed Shannon at 10.40pm but flew to London Stansted Airport rather than Chicago.
