The Next Boxing Day sales are a favourite among shoppers looking to bag themselves a bargain before the New Year, with the brand's hotly anticipated deals typically seeing huge discounts on Next items to lower prices.

Last year, much of their stock was reduced to half price, making it a well-worth sale to bookmark in your calendar if you're on the look-out for stylish clothing, accessories, beauty products, and home furnishings.

While Next normally don't reveal the exact time and date of their sale until much closer to Boxing Day, traditionally the Next Boxing Day sales start on December 26 online and this year that date falls on a Tuesday. The Next website usually launches these sales early doors around midnight on the same day, but according to Money Saving Central, you may be able to get early VIP access from Wednesday December 20 if you follow the steps below.

Does Next have a Boxing Day sale?

Next hold seasonal sales four times a year, plus a Black Friday event in November. As well as a spring, summer, and autumn sale, they hold a Boxing Day sale which typically beings online December 26.

How do I get a Next VIP sale slot?

Getting a VIP slot to the Next sale could be crucial to bagging a bargain while stocks last, but there are a few steps you need to do to be able to take advantage of early access. First things first, you'll need to set up a Next Credit account and make sure you have enough available credit prior to the sale taking place.

You can find out more by reading the terms and conditions via the Next website and on its Next Credit website, but a Next spokesperson confirmed that VIP slots are sent out to customers on a first come first serve basis saying:

"We’d love to invite and offer everyone a VIP slot but due to limited spaces, not all customers will receive an invite. VIP Sale invites are sent out to a selection of our customers and we’re not able to guarantee who will be selected to take part in our VIP sale. We are working to make the VIP sale as inclusive as possible and are always adding more slots. Keep an eye out on your emails/texts! Don't worry if you don’t receive a VIP sale invite, you’ll still be able to shop our online sale at www.next.co.uk when the sale starts. For the latest information about our upcoming Sales, please keep an eye on our Social Media pages."

Is Next open on Boxing Day 2023?

If you prefer to shop in store rather than online, you might have to wait a little longer to get your hands on discounted Next items as the retailer have closed their physical stores on Boxing Day for the past two years.

This means that stores might open for the Next Boxing Day sales on Wednesday December 27, but this hasn't been confirmed yet for 2023. Opening times tend to be 6am on the sale day, however this can vary depending on the store location around the UK, so it's worth checking your local branch before heading out.

Are there any early Next deals to shop now?

After the main four seasonal sales, you can still get heavy reductions on clothes for women, men and kids in the Next clearance sale. Nearly every item in this section has at least 50% off, including designer clothing and top brands.

It's also well worth checking out the Next outlet on eBay as they stock tons of quality-checked clothing and accessories for discount prices. There are thousands of listings available, and many of them are brand new items. This Next Grey Collar Coat was originally £65 and has been reduced to £49, and this Next Black Long Sleeve Sequin Dress has dropped from £50 to £39.
