UFC star Colby Covington shows off jacket with Donald Trump's mugshot
Colby Covington showed off his custom-made suit jacket with Donald Trump's mugshot ahead of his UFC world title fight.
Covington serves as one half of the UFC 296 main event on Saturday when he fights welterweight champion Leon Edwards in Las Vegas. The American is a good friend of Trump's and even put the UFC world title that he won in 2017 on his desk at the White House when he served as President.
Whilst showing up for the media day on Wednesday afternoon to promote his upcoming fight, Covington entered the room wearing a suit jacket with Trump's mugshot from his arrest in August. The jacket was in the colours of the American flag with words down each arm that read 'Make America Great Again'.

"The backstory is that it’s a ‘Make America Great Again’ suit, we got Donald Trump to sign it so you know the suit is worth a pretty penny now," Covington told reporters including Mirror Fighting. "I got Trump’s mugshot, his unlawful indictment. What a joke, I can’t believe they are using the justice system against us. Do you guys realise how corrupt this system is right now?
Donald Trump's scandalous The Apprentice sacking and his unexpected replacement"They are weaponising the judicial system, it’s political persecution. They are scared of him, they know he is the greatest threat to the swamp. He stands for democracy and they don’t like that. There are a bunch of communist people running this country right now, we need to get them out. Our borders are wide open and inflammation is higher than it’s ever been.
"Our streets are burning and we’re sending money to Ukraine, for what? What about America? Donald Trump stands for America first, but right now it’s America last. We need to make America great again, 2024 is our last stand. If Donald Trump doesn’t get back in office, this country is done."
Trump will be cageside at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night to watch Covington's fight and is expected to put the belt around his waist in the event that he wins. Covington also wanted Trump to walk to the cage with him, but UFC boss Dana White shut down the request because of logistical issues.
