I’m A Celebrity 's Sam Thompson was emotional as he spoke with girlfriend Zara McDermott minutes after his jungle win.

The Made in Chelsea star finally got to speak with Zara after weeks apart, via a video call as shown on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Coming Out on Wednesday evening. Telling her he'd "missed her so much" this was the first time they'd spoken since he left for Australia last month.

Sam's pal Pete Wicks was on hand to greet him after he won the show, with them hugging it out in sweet scenes minutes after he stormed to victory. But as soon as the show was over, Sam wasted no time in contacting his girlfriend who had thrown a huge Team Sam party at home, as she and Sam's loved ones watched the final.

Calling Zara, he told her: "Poodle... oh baby goose. I miss you so much tiny little poodle. Nose bop, nose bop, nose bop." The pair then burst into tears, as Zara asked how he was.

Zara was then quick to share what had been going on back at home, speaking of the party: "I had about fifty people over, we had the best party ever!” She then reunited him with his beloved cats, before Sam declared she was "the most amazing girlfriend in the world".

Sam also spoke of his jungle experience, after being a fan of she show since it began in 2002. He admitted: “It is the most magical show that is on TV, when you’re in there it’s even more magical. There’s no place like it I’ve ever seen.”

Viewers watching at home confessed they were "crying their eyes out" over the scenes between the couple. Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "Crying my eyes out over Sam and Zara’s call."

Another said: "Why am I crying my eyes out at Sam & Zara nose bobbing on FaceTime!" A third added: "Awh Sam you’re so cute!!!!" as a fourth wrote; "Sam crying when he spoke to Zara," with a sad emoji face.

On Wednesday, Sam was reunited with his girlfriend for the first time in weeks. Zara met Sam at the airport, leading to an emotional and tearful reunion, with them soon joined by Sam's pal Pete.

Pete had been out in Australia during the series, and greeted him both in camp and on the famous bridge after his victory. Zara was unable to be there due to her commitments with work including her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing this series.

So when they reunited this week, there were tears all around as the pair hugged it out and shared a kiss, before posing for photos. Zara had brought some celebratory balloons along with her to welcome him home, while she soon hugged it out with pal Pete too.
