Grace Dent 'didn't want to leave' I'm A Celebrity as she explains jungle exit
Grace Dent has revealed all about her decision to quit I’m A Celebrity, after she left the show and sparked concern with viewers,
Her exit from the jungle came just days into the series hosted by Ant and Dec, with her campmates gutted to see her go. Grace left just days into the jungle experience, and her exit had been predicted by viewers after some worrying signs.
Grace did not appear to be enjoying the jungle life, confessing she wanted to go home to her co-stars. When she was voted to do another Bushtucker Trial, she appeared frustrated while viewers also noticed she looked "unwell" and were worried about her.
So her exit did not really come as a surprise, but her co-stars were devastated nonetheless. Viewers had reached out to the star out of concern, with her soon addressing her exit from the show on social media.
Now, Grace has revealed in her first televised appearance all about her quitting, as she said leaving her new pals behind was her "greatest regret". Speaking about the decision she confessed she did not want to go, and addressed having "nowhere to hide" amid her camp struggles.

She said: "I did not expect to love my campmates as much as I did. The things I found hard about camp, it was just that lack of control. There was no place to hide and you are in there with people who under normal circumstances, you wouldn't share sleeping space with... Nigel Farage."

After she quit, a show spokesperson released a statement at the time saying: "Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike."
Grace broke her silence days later regarding her exit, taking to social media as she thanked friends for their support. She wrote: "Dear friends. Thank you for the outpouring of love I’ve received since I was removed on Monday. I am overwhelmingly sad right now, but determined to keep alive in my heart the huge personal breakthroughs I made over the weeks.
"I spent 15 days without a phone or any contact with loved ones, living much of the time outdoors in a rain forest in very wet weather. It gave me a short, sharp glimpse into the pain some folk worldwide endure. Normal life, forever, will always feel beautiful.
"Until now, I had no idea I could find a mental space where I could calmly climb down the side of a skyscraper and then slide out on a pole, unlocking stars, as the cars below on the street felt the size of ants. I had no idea it was possible to be shown an American football helmet and be informed I was shortly to be locked in at the neck and filled to the eyebrows with cockroaches, and for me to think ‘OK this is doable, the trick is to breathe’.
Grace Dent sparked concern on the show (ITV)"For as long as I live, I shall never forget the cockroach that entered my ear canal and the sound of its little feet creeping closer down to my brain. It took us two goes to lure him out. Sat on the grass behind the ‘Scarena’ he finally washed up.
