Tekken 8 demo PS5 release time, characters and everything included
Tekken 8 is getting a Demo to show off some of the games single-player features ahead of its launch on January 26, 2024.
Bandai Namco has confirmed that a Tekken 8 demo is on the way, allowing players to experience some of the single-player content we saw in our Tekken 8 preview ahead of launch. Players will be able to check out the first chapter of Tekken 8's story mode 'The Dark Awakens' as well as the brand new Arcade Quest mode – which houses the series' staple ghost battles inside a fun little story about playing Tekken 8 with your virtual friends. You'll also be able to play some local versus matches. However, the full Tekken 8 roster won't be available, you'll be limited to Jin, Kazuya, Nina, and Paul for the Tekken 8 Demo.
Players on PS5 are going to be able to pick up the demo a bit earlier than everybody else, with PC and Xbox Series X|S getting the demo a week later. Either way, you'll be able to play some Tekken 8 before Christmas, which should hopefully tide you over to the official Tekken 8 release date – January 26, 2024. Unfortunately you won't be able to play this demo online, but there's always a chance we get another Tekken 8 Beta before the launch of the game.
Tekken 8 demo: release time
The Tekken 8 demo release time is different depending on which platform you intend on playing the demo on. PlayStation is getting a week-long exclusive access period to the demo, with PC and Xbox users getting it a week later.
The Tekken 8 demo release time on PS5 is Thursday, December 14 at 8am GMT / 3am EST / 12am PST. The demo will be made available to download on the PlayStation Store at this time. Unlike the previous Tekken 8 betas, this demo isn't time limited, so you can play as much as you want before the game launches. This means Xbox and PC players won't be able to jump in until Thursday, December 21.
Why Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's six week delay is a good thingNo matter which version you intend on playing it's set to release at 5pm JST (which is 8am GMT / 3am EST / 12am PST) as confirmed by Tekken Project on Twitter. Tekken 8 isn't releasing on last gen systems like PS4 and Xbox One, so you're out of luck if you're waiting on the demo on those systems.
