'I tried a Musclefood Turkey Christmas Hamper and it's been a huge money-saver'
There are many cash crippling ways to get prepped for Christmas and most of us overspend every year on the essential foodie bits when feeding the whole family.
While there are many more cost effective ways to get through Christmas on a budget, Musclefood have really set the bar high with their incredibly, jam packed meat packages.
There are a number of different packages to choose from- we went for the Luxury Turkey Christmas Hamper which had plenty of meat options which will last us for the month of December and into January.

The turkey looked incredible, and was much bigger than I initially anticipated (it says 2+kg on the packaging but I think it was slightly heavier than that.
Best blood pressure monitors for quick and accurate readings at homeAs soon as our package arrived I got straight to making an early Christmas dinner for 5 of us- and it went down an absolute treat.
First of all, here are the full contents of the £50 hamper:
6 x 66g Meaty Pork Sausages
1 x 300g Low Fat Bacon Medallions
Luxury Half Turkey Butterfly - 2kg+
Unsmoked Streaky Bacon - 350g
Pork Sausage Meat - 350g
Stuffing Block - 350g
Festive Pigs In Blankets - 16 x 26g
Pork Chipolatas - 12 x 33g
20 best air fryers to invest in for quicker, healthier and cheaper ways to cookFiggy Pud' Stuffing - 350g
For all this, I would say customers are getting a pretty impressive deal (with a Turkey of the same size at the likes of M&S alone costing in the region of £31).
The stuffing, a tray of pigs in blankets and sausage meat I have savoured for Christmas Day and put in the freezer, while we have been eating the bacon and chipolata's over the last week and wow let me tell you.... the quality is unmatched.
The bacon medallions particularly you can tell the difference in quality compared to our local supermarket.
Anyway, back to our early Christmas dinner.
I cooked the Turkey joint for the recommended 20 minutes for each kg plus 70 minutes BUT I chose to reduce the oven temperature and cook it a little longer (for extra juiciness)- it turned out exactly how I wanted it to it was so gorgeously moist.
The pigs in blankets were lovely too- I had just overcooked them a tiny bit so they were slightly tougher than I would have liked, but still so, so tasty.
I think, if you are in need of an easy route this Christmas to have all the meat boxed off which you can distribute between your freezer and fridge- then Musclefood is a great alternative to a supermarket shop.
For £50, there is A LOT of food included- we have had our meat last us (a family of four) for the last two weeks while making the odd sausage or bacon butty, a tasty couple of sandwiched and turkey curry of the leftovers. The food has lasted us incredibly well.
The Musclefood Christmas delivery slot page is still open, with particularly December 20th & 21st available which would be a massive weight lifted for some families just a couple of days before the big day.
See here if any of their hampers/christmas packages can sway you, I'll certainly be using Musclefood again for our meat delivery for Christmas. Meatbox is another on line meat delivery company offering festive boxes.
