Married At First Sight's Shona and Matt spark wedding rumours with subtle detail
Married at First Sight viewers are convinced that Shona Manderson is about to tie the knot once again after posting a suggestive photo online.
The 31-year-old took to Instagram on Monday to share a festive snap with her partner, Matt Pilmoor, whom she met on the E4 reality show last summer. Shona, who was initially matched with Brad Skelley on MAFS, looked besotted with her new beau as she planted a hand on his chest and smiled at the camera. "Christmas came early this year," she captioned the photo, which was taken against an outdoor Christmas tree adorned by red lights.
Wearing a beige knit headband, a grey turtleneck and a camel coat, the performing arts teacher looked elegant yet snug for the wintery outing in Nottingham. It was Shona's sparkling jewellery and romantic caption, however, which caught fans attention. The Internet personality was wearing a gold ring on her finger, leading folks to speculate if she was engaged to her boyfriend for real this time.
"Is this an engagement ring? If so congratulations!" one person wrote, while another simply asked, "Engagement ring?" A third said: "Omg congratulations are you engaged so happy."
"The caption and ring on left finger just ups the suspension," another curious person wrote. Shona was quick to correct fans, however, confirming that she was "not engaged." Despite having no immediate plans to walk down the aisle, Shona and Matt have considering becoming spouses in the future.
Pregnant Married at First Sight star 'devastated' after learning sex of her baby"Yeah, we’ve spoken about getting married," she told OK! magazine. "Matt has said he will wear a kilt because my family are Scottish." As for children, Shona said she and Matt, 27, could be starting a family within the "next few years."
"It’s mental, but when you know, you know, and it just works. And it can move at a healthy pace. I don’t even feel scared about anything," she explained. Shona confirmed their romance after MAFS, despite the couple having been partnered with two different people on the show. Matt was partnered Adrienne Naylor, but the pair ended up splitting over the clashing views on having children.
He met Shona again at the reunion show in June and quickly hit it off, sparking up an unlikely romance that has left fans shocked. The pair now live together in a swanky Nottingham house and are looking forward to building a life together outside of reality TV.
Comparing her relationship with Matt to her MAFS husband Brad, who was removed from the show after allegations of coercive control, Shona said: "It’s massively different, I just feel fully myself all of the time and I’m very content and calm." She also said that her messy habits don't "faze" Matt, adding that "he just gives me the space to just be me."
