Lego Fortnite takes after Minecraft in many ways, including some familiar biomes showing up in the brand-new mode.

Lego Fortnite kicks you into this Minecraft-inspired mode by dropping you into a grassy plain and urging you to explore and build to make your village thrive. As you explore Lego Fortnite, you'll no doubt come across some different biomes from the one you started in. But how many biomes are in Lego Fortnite?

Outside of the different biomes, you'll also be able to find caves to explore during your adventure. These caves can be found in every biome by looking for a massive rock formation. The cave will change depending on which biome it's placed in, but all of them are equally worth exploring.

How many biomes are in Lego Fortnite?

The short answer to how many biomes are in Lego Fortnite? is 'there's four' – or five if you count caves. However, if you stick with us, we'll go into detail about each of these biomes.

Grassland

The biome you'll be kicking off your adventure in is a fairly standard grassland. Here you'll find the likes of wolves, skeletons, and spiders, but for the most part, it's pretty easy going. Enemies rarely show up during the day compared to most other biomes and you'll find plenty of wood and stone to work with.

We'd recommend picking a Grassland Biome as the place to build your village, but we understand if you want to be a bit more adventurous

Snowy

The second biome you're likely to spot during your Lego Fortnite adventure is the Snowlands; mainly because you'll be able to spot a big white mountain from a mile away.

If you've ventured outside in the grassland while it's raining you'll notice that you'll get a prompt telling you that you're too cold, and you'll take damage. So as you would expect you'll be having to deal with it a lot within the snow biome. A torch can only do so much for this, but if you can find some Spicy Peppers you should be able to survive the harsh cold.

You'll find frosty variants of the enemies like wolves and spiders across the snow biome, as you can expect fire-based weapons to be an effective tool in sending these enemies to the great builder in the sky.

Desert

Considering being in the snow area will require you to take supplies to stop you from being too cold, as you can expect, you'll need to bring anti-heat supplies for the desert (such as a cool-headed charm). However, it'll still get cold here at night, making it the harshest environment in the game in our opinion.

You'll be able to spot the desert biome from the sandy and rocky landscape. If you see huge rock formations with Cacti strewn around the place, you're in the right area.

You'll find biome-exclusive variants of enemies in the desert, just like in the snow area.

Beach

The beach is the least interesting of the four biomes, you'd be forgiven for mistaking this as part of the grassland biome. As the name implies, it's a beach, you'll find sand, water and palm trees.

Like the grasslands, the only weather effects you need to worry about here is it getting too cold at night. There are some biome-exclusive enemies here like the hermit crab, however.
