Josie Gibson had an emotional reunion with son Reggie on Sunday following her I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here eviction after not seeing her beloved child for weeks.

The This Morning host placed on fourth on the popular ITV reality series, coming behind Nigel Farage in third place and runner-up Tony Bellew. It was Sam Thompson who was crowned King of the Jungle, after the Made in Chelsea star won over I'm A Celebrity fans with his lovable personality and inspiring grit.

Despite failing to win the series, Josie, 38, had nothing but gratitude to be greeted by her son Reggie in the Australian jungle. After exclaiming, "I get to see my little boy!" once she was told she'd been eliminated, she grinned in elation as she held the adorable five-year-old in her arms.

Reggie then informed the TV presenter that the first thing he wanted to do with her was play catch, before she asked him if she could shower and joked that she smelled bad from the camp. The cherubic infant also said that his mummy should have broccoli for her first meal out of the jungle and advised her to follow Sam Thompson on social media before anyone else.

Josie, who narrowly escaped the notorious Cyclone Challenge by placing fourth in the competition, had never been shy about missing Reggie during her I'm A Celebrity stint. Just a few days into the series, she broke down in tears over being away from him, telling Danielle Harold, "I just miss my little boy. I shouldn't have ever left him this long." The EastEnders star was quick to comfort her campmate, reassuring her that she was an excellent parent despite not feeling that way right now. "100% you should, you're showing him that you're a strong mum, strong woman. So proud of you babe," Danielle said. "I hate seeing you upset. You're the best mum.'

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph after the tearful moment, Josie admitted: "Just had a little wobble. You just feel very guilty. I'll never leave him this long again, ever."

Reggie touched down in Brisbane Airport last week to welcome his mummy following her departure from camp, marking his first ever trip Down Under. He was accompanied by Josie's best friend Mia Williams and her own little boy, Romey.

Speaking about her special bond with the ITV presenter, Mia told the Mail Online: "We've been best friends for 19 years. So I saw her the whole way through Big Brother and now she's killing it, I couldn't be prouder of her. She's got the whole of Bristol behind her. We're here to bring the Queen home. There's no doubt she's going to be Queen of the Jungle.'

As for how Reggie handled his mother's absence, Mia said: "He's coped really well considering she's been gone for a couple of weeks now."
