Jamie Lynn Spears has paid a sweet tribute to I'm A Celebrity 2023 winner Sam Thompson after leaving the show early due to medical grounds last month.

The 32-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday evening shortly after the Made in Chelsea star was crowned the King of the Jungle, much to the delight of her adoring fanbase. Sam, 31, beat runner-up Tony Bellew after delighting viewers of the ITV reality series with his lovable personality and inspiring determination over the past several weeks. Meanwhile, former Ukip leader Nigel Farage placed third and This Morning host Josie Gibson came in fourth.

Jamie Lynn, the younger sister of Britney Spears, exited the show after eight days for medical reasons after struggling with homesickness and missing her family. She broke her silence on I'm A Celebrity last night, however, to congratulate Sam on his epic triumph.

"Oh my gosh, Sam, you're the King of the Jungle, I'm so proud of you," Jamie Lynn dramatically whispered to the camera, before adding, "I'm so proud of all my campmates." The Zoey 101 star then admitted she wished she was "there celebrating with you all" but promised to reunite with them in the future: "We will make up for it in due time just send me that date please."

Jamie also said she was "so lucky to have made lifelong friends out of this experience" before delivering a direct shout-out to Sam: "Sam, you have always been my King of the Jungle." Jamie Lynn signed off the heartfelt message with, "Congratulations, miss y'all," before blowing her fellow I'm A Celebrity contestants a kiss.

Jamie's post comes after she snubbed a return to the jungle for last night's final episode alongside Grace Dent, who also failed to return to the set after quitting the series.

The Sweet Magnolias star exited the jungle on November 30, becoming the second person of the season to quit after food critic Grace Dent also left early. Jamie Lynn shared a lengthy post on Instagram after her departure, writing: "I can't wait to share with y'all everything about this once in a lifetime experience, but I don't even know where to start when trying to describe what an incredibly special time and place I had with some of the absolute best humans I have ever met and consider family now.

"Thank yall for welcoming me into your living rooms night after night, and for supporting me through all the highs and lows. I'm am so grateful for this show, and all of the wonderful people apart of it! I will be taking some time to recovery and spend time with my family, but looking forward to sharing all about my journey on @imacelebrity with everyone! Love yallll." ITV confirmed Jamie Lynn was paid her I'm A Celebrity fee in full despite leaving early. It's been widely reported she received a £250k for her participation in the gritty show, but the exact amount has not been disclosed.
