Sam Thompson teases 'new experience' with Pete after I'm A Celeb victory
Sam Thompson might have only been out of the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! jungle for several hours but he's throwing himself into more work.
The reality television star who in recent weeks has won the hearts of the nation after making it to the final and then being crowned the winner of the ITV show is no stranger when it comes to a hectic work schedule. But Sam, 31, and his best friend Pete Wicks, 35, are to immerse themselves on a tour of the country in the coming months.
However, it'll be a very different project for Sam after spending weeks in Australia, surrounded by cockroaches, snakes and a former MEP.
Sam and Pete are taking their Staying Relevant podcast on its first tour, with listeners and fans alike getting the chance to get up close and personal with the two unlikely pals. But that's not all, fans will also get the chance to be on stage with the pair and share their own "Seat of Shame" moment.
Speaking to the Mirror fresh from his jungle appearance, Sam said: "Life genuinely feels like a dream right now, from being on I'm A Celeb to touring with my best pal Pete. We can't wait to meet our listeners in person - it's going to be a totally new experience." Meanwhile, Pete, who surprised Sam with a reunion in the jungle also shared his excitement.
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingHe told me: "Going on tour with your annoying little brother might actually see the end of mine and Sam's friendship, but we've got some big things planned for the shows, so I’m really looking forward to it." Speaking about his time on I'm A Celeb, Sam said: "I have loved every second of it, everything about it, we have been through so much, it has been life-changing. The best thing I have ever done in my life."
Sam, who found fame on E4's Made In Chelsea is set to become one of the biggest names in telly after reaching the final of the ITV show. A showbiz source claimed that there's set to be a bidding war to have him sign for various projects. A showbiz source said: "They know Sam is a star, the big bosses are all keeping a very close eye on what he does next because they see him as the next big thing.
"The wonderful thing about Sam is he is just unapologetically himself and that's what people love. He is set to become a very very rich man when he steps outside that jungle life. And not just him, his girlfriend Zara, is expected to do well too, with them seen as the new power couple. We know ITV are already working behind the scenes on what they could offer Sam in terms of work and contracts in the hope of signing him up long-term, but the BBC will be keeping a close eye too. He is a set to become Britain's golden boy."
