The trio of finalists all had to work hard for their last supper – completing three final bush tucker trials to win a slap up meal.

Nigel Farage, 59, found himself in a pit with a snake and Sam Thompson faced an eating trial. But Tony Bellew kicked things off with a challenge called Stakeout.

Host Ant said: "You’re going to be strapped down to the giant plate and you must stay on it and endure the jungle critters that will join you on there. For every two minutes you manage to stay on the plate that’s a star up for grabs.”

Dec added: “The first three stars you win are for starters for you and your other campmates. The fourth is for your drink of choice tonight and the fifth is for a very special treat for yourself.” As it got going, Tony shouted: “Why am I picked for this? This is a joke.”

After enduring the full time, he earned all of his stars. The second person to take on a Trial was Sam, with the eating trial Bushtucker Bonanza.

Dec said: “You’re going to be presented with five dishes. The first three stars are for main courses for camp. The fourth star is for your drink, the fifth is for your own personal little treat.”Sam said: “I’m going to do my best.” First Sam was served a witchetty grub, which he ate immediately.

Then he was given a camel’s toe. He had to eat a section on a stick. He was told this was to earn Tony’s main course. Asking for encouragement from Tony, Tony said: “Teddy T is saying, you’ve got this.” He then got a fish eye and a scorpion.

As he inspected the fish eye, Dec said: “I wouldn’t take that much of a look at it.” To earn his drink he faced a pig’s vagina. Sam said: “I don’t think I can do that one…”

They all started singing JLS’s Everybody In Love to encourage him. As he continued the Trial Sam said: “We’re doing it, we’re actually doing it!”

Finally he faced a camel’s penis. Nigel encouraged: “Don’t look at it, just do it.” He finished it and earned his full five stars. He hugged Tony afterwards.

Lastly it was Farage’s turn to try to win food for camp. He said: “These two boys have done absolutely brilliantly, so I don’t want to let the side down.” Dec explained: “You’re playing for all of the desserts, plus your drink.”

Farage said: “Mine is not milkshake, it’s Aussie red.” Ant said: “This is Panic Pit. For every two minutes you stay down there you win a star. Five stars on offer so that’s 10 minutes in total. But of course, you’re not going to be alone down there.”

Dec added: “The first three stars are for desserts for camp. The fourth star is for your drink, the fifth star is for your treat.” As it began, Ant said: “You’ve got company now, Nigel.” Sam said: “Oh, it’s a snake!” Dec asked: “Are you OK Nigel?”

Farage said: “Yeah, fine thanks, having a lovely time.” Towards the end the lights went out and he was in darkness. As he earned the star for his drink, Farage said: “Bloody lovely.” He completed the full Trial and earned all five stars and said: “I didn’t flinch!”
