Mama June devastated as daughter dies after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer
Mama June has announced her daughter Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell has died at the age of 29 after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The 44-year-old reality star took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news with fans as she said her family has been left heartbroken. Anna had been diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer back in January, but sadly died on Saturday night at home.
Alongside a picture of the family, Mama June said: "With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us. She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM.

Fans have rushed to share their condolences, with one person writing: "I am so sorry for your loss… I don’t even know what to say. Praying so hard for your family at this time. Anna will be remembered forever."
"Sending prayers to you and your family," another fan said, while a third commented: "Oh no. I am sorry for your loss and for Anna's children." Another fan added: "I'm so incredibly sorry. A parent’s worst nightmare. You and your family are in my prayers."

Anna is survived by her two young daughters (Instagram/ @annamariecardwe39)Anna was diagnosed with stage four adrenal carcinoma in January, which was discovered after she complained to the doctor about stomach aches. After undergoing tests, doctors discovered the cancer in her liver, kidney and lung.
According to the Mayo Clinic, adrenal cancer is a rare cancer that begins in one or both of the small, triangular glands which are located on top of your kidneys. It can occur at any age.
Anna is survived by her two young daughters, who she shared with Michael Cardwell. Just one day before Anna's death, Mama June took to Instagram to beg fans for prayers as her daughter took a turn for the worse.
The devastating news of Anna's cancer brought her "fractured" family together after six years of the siblings being estranged from their mother, Mama June. Earlier this year, Mama June confirmed that she had been accompanying Anna to her chemotherapy treatments. "Honestly, the people that have been there for her since she's been diagnosed is me and Justin, Eldridge and the girls. There's no other family that come up there and sit with her during her treatments," she told the Daily Mail.
Mama June has been left heartbroken (WeTV)The TV star added: "There is nobody that comes and checks to make sure that she's good, to make sure that she got everything. It's literally me, Justin, Pumpkin (Lauren Efird), Honey Boo Boo (Alana Thompson), Jessica. That's it." She also explained that the family had been "working through arguments and undergoing counselling" to repair her relationship with her daughters.
Back in May, Mama June also revealed she was planning to move closer to Anna to help out as she underwent treatment. The reality star was splitting her time between her home in Alabama and Anna's home in Georgia.
She explained she would stay in an Airbnb with her husband Justin Stroud when they visited Anna. "We are definitely leaving Alabama. I'm in the process of leaving Alabama now and I'm in the final steps of my legal issues, so we'll definitely be going back to Georgia," she told The Sun.
