Rapper 2 Chainz rushed to hospital after being hit by drunk driver

Rapper 2 Chainz has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Miami.
The 46-year-old was hospitalised on Saturday morning with neck injuries after he was hit by a suspected drunk driver. The musician had been driving on Interstate 95 and was about to exit when a Tesla hit his vehicle, according to a source.
The crash has been described as "intense", with 2 Chainz sharing footage of himself in the ambulance after the crash. In the clip, which was posted to his Instagram Story, a black car could be seen with extensive damage to the driver's side.

There were also smashed parts of the vehicle strewn across the highway. Other emergency vehicles, including a police car, were visible in the clip.

The video also showed 2 Chainz, real name Tauheed K. Epps, with a strap around each foot. A source told TMZ that he suffered neck injuries and possible other injuries, but confirmed he is in a stable condition in the hospital.
A spokesperson for the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles told The Mirror: "We can confirm that there was a crash involving three vehicles that occurred near the intersection of SR 112-WB and NW 22nd Ave in Miami. The vehicles involved were a 2016 Mercedes, 2013 Nissan and a 2010 Toyota. There were no fatalities and at least one adult male was transported to an area hospital."
The rapper is believed to have left a strip club called Booby Trap shortly before the crash. He was in Miami for Art Basel, which is taking place Miami Beach Convention Center.

Prior to the accident, 2 Chainz appeared at an event where he thanked the crowd for their support while promoting a brand new project. He also shared clips on social media as he stopped by a seafood shop.
Fans of the rapper have taken to social media to share their support and wish him a speedy recovery. "Prayers up for 2 chainz," one person posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Another fan pleaded: "Lord protect 2chainz with all your might," while a third person echoed the sentiments, writing: "I really hate drunk drivers anything glad 2chainz ok God was with him my god." Someone else added: "Sending my thoughts and prayers to 2 Chainz."
The rapper rose to fame as one-half of the Southern hip hop duo Playaz Circle, alongside Earl 'Dolla Boy' Conyers. He then went on to enjoy a hugely successful solo career, with hit songs such as Pretty Girls Like Trap Music and It's a Vibe.
