Is a 'dressy knit' the unofficial outfit for Christmas Day 2023?

Dear Frankie Bridge, I see your and raise you one that’s £20 cheaper and looks more expensive.

Last month, Loose Women panellist Frankie Bridge posed on Instagram in a suitably seasonal outfit, pairing a with some on-trend metallic trousers. Her River Island cost £55, and over the festive fit.

Made in a with diamante embellishments in two different sizes, Frankie predicted it would sell out, commenting: "The dressy knit of dreams! Such a cute little cardigan and has little embellishments to make it feel more special! And it comes in four colours. I have a feeling this is going to be a sellout."

The knit, , is undeniably gorgeous and perfect for the party season, not to mention celeb-approved. But I’ve found one twice as nice for nearly half the price at Marks and Spencer, and it’s definitely going to be my Christmas Day look.

Some have suggested that the embellishments are ‘too much’, but since it’s now , we’d have to say it’s been a hit with fashion fans. However, don’t lose hope.
