Halle Bailey expressed her feelings to her followers on Instagram about fame.

The singer and actress shared a message on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, keeping it real on what it means to be in the public eye. She wrote: "I also just wanna say, I'm so very grateful for my real supporters who are respectful of women's bodies and loving."

She continued: "Being under a microscope is not easy but for the real ones who show unconditional love religiously I appreciate you. I feel so blessed and grateful."

Halle received racist backlash after being cast to play Ariel in Disney's live action of The Little Mermaid, which was released in May 2023. She said she was shocked by the online hate after it was announced she would play the fictional Disney character.

Halle told The Mirror in May: “When the negative comments started, I was shocked, because it wasn’t some - thing I really anticipated – at least not on that scale. Then I started to think, ‘I’m from the Deep South, it’s not like this is the first time I’ve experienced racism’.”

The post The Little Mermaid star shared on her story, came after teasing her episode with Rachel Zegler on Variety's Actors on Actors series. Rachel was recently casted to play Disney princess Snow White, as Disney plans to turn the iconic film into a live action. According to E! News, Rachel has also shared her experience on facing criticism over her casting.

Rachel' spoke out on social media in July, thanking those who were supporting her but asking to not be tagged in hateful comments. Halle replied and expressed how she was "the perfect princess."

Halle also shared with The Sun how she was able to turn to Beyoncé on how to handle the backlash she was receiving.

She said: “I had a private conversation with Beyoncé who told me not to read the comments on any social media I post." She continued: "It’s kind of sad — but very good advice for your mental health."
